I think that is only for the best seats and the boxes

you have to figure they will be a lot cheaper in the 2nd and 3rd decks and the endzone

i also dont think they are planning on slamming our credit cards for tickets 4 years into the future

its all speculation at this point

Its true the average ticket price is $250.00 its was in the last news conference, Just check out other posts on this site..

And actually the 2nd deck is more pricey then the 1st level.. Better sitelines. The first 8 rows or so at the dome have terrible site lines. The Argos dont even sell those seats, they cover them up with ad banners, because the siteline is so bad

your link does not work, is it an actual article from the CP (Canadian Press) or it a google news search results page you are posting?

try again please

here is what i found on the Star (largest papar in Toronto)

"When the Bills come across the border next season to play the first of eight games (five regular season and three exhibition) over the next five years, the best seats at the Rogers Centre are expected to be in the $200-250 range."

http://www.thestar.com/Sports/article/299443

"expected" is the key to the sentence

I posted this article in another thread. I think you are right I think the $250 is top end. This article says up to $2,000 for 8 games.

Here's the other article mentioning 5,000 seats for the Cats http://www.thespec.com/News/Local/article/319987

February 05, 2008
Ken Peters
The Hamilton Spectator
(Feb 5, 2008)
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats say American football is not welcome on this side of the border.

The team issued a press release yesterday stating the club will not take part in a plan by the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League to play eight games over the next five seasons in Toronto.

As part of the proposal, the Ticats would have received 5,000 tickets for the eight contests to sell to their season ticket subscribers.

"Price is one issue," said club president Scott Mitchell, adding Hamiltonians who want to watch the Bills could make the one-hour trip to Orchard Park, N.Y., at a fraction of what the Toronto tickets would cost.

He says his team's season ticket-holders would have been charged as much as $2,000 for one ticket to see all eight contests.

"But we also don't feel as an organization we should support an initiative like this without a larger agreement in place between the CFL and NFL," Mitchell noted.

He also said the club wants to know what the NFL's long-range plans are for Canada.

"I think it is fair to say that a full-time NFL team in Toronto is probably not in our best interests."

Mitchell said he hopes Canadian Football League fans will appreciate the fact his organization is standing up for the league by refusing to support the Bills' initiative.

"At least until we know what the broader agreement is," he stated.

The Bills and Argos are expected to announce details about the NFL games at Rogers Centre at a news conference tomorrow.

the Leafs are getting $400 for the best seats, the market can definately support that for the best seats

no way an 3rd level end zone seat is going to be $250 for an exibition game

don't know where you buy tickets from, but you can get Plats for 175 if you go to the right spot.

Ok so it looks like you were right about $250 being the top end price not the average price. It also looks like you were right that Fan590 did not know what they were talking about when they said $250 was the average price.

So seeing as you were right on both of those - where can you get Leafs plats for $175 ;)

The premium seats will probably be a lot more than $250, this may give rise to the "$250 average" rumours. Another Star article suggested that lower bowl seats would be c$200, with upper deck seats going for less.

gotta know a few people in Toronto who do ticket sales, and due to the legality of it, I'm not giving it out over the internet :p

Tickets are good, but you can't charge a markup on tickets in Canada, which the plats at 175 are. Too risky to give out contact information if I want to keep getting tickets. But there are lots of brokers out there that will sell them at that price, if you don't accept the first offer. The only time I go to ACC is when the Flyers are in town. It helps to know a few different guys as well, because if I don't get a 175 quote, I just keep going back and forth between the guys until I do.

The most I have ever paid for plats at ACC was 225, and that was only because 2 of the people I usually bargain with were out of tickets, and I was left with 3 guys that don't like to bargain. One of them will hang up the phone if you try.

IMO, next time you are going for tickets, strike up a conversation with the broker. Get on his good side, then the next time you are looking, give them a call. Brokers are a lot like us. Many are big sports fans, and they would rather see a real fan in the seat then a suit. If they don't know you/look like a yuppie, its like saliva for dogs, because they know they are going to big money off a sale.

I remember going to the Ralph 2 years ago, and talking a scalper into exchanging my 4 upper deck seats to 4 lower bowl sideline seats for $5 each, and it was only because I had exchanged with him a few times earlier in the year. Learn to Hustle the Hustler and you are laughing.

If anyone does buy tickets make sure you try and get the 2nd bowl seats, they offer the best view. if you take the lower bowl make sure you get seats at least 20 rows up from the sidelines or you will have a lousy view of the game.. Remeber this stadium was built for baseball not football..
