Wouldn't he want to expand Rogers communications into the US?
Keeping the Bills for a majority of games in Buffalo allows him to market his products to the most Canadian brand friendly area in the US.
If Molson and TimHortons can be successful in WNY, why not Rogers Communications?

Rogers could never succeed in the US Market. If they could, they would probably be there all ready. As a Canadian I know how expensive Rogers and Bell products are compared to similar American services. Canadian Communications companies are protected, limiting the amount of band width start up companies can have over communication networks. As a result, Rogers and Bell succeed in Ontario because there is no competition. Their prices are very high, and I dont see them being able to lower their prices in the states, while keeping them high for their Canadian customers at home.
I dont see it happening. There are too many companies already in the US.

We have our own monopolies here. About how much do you pay per month for cable, if you don't ask me asking? We pay about $60.00 just for basic cable alone.

He can still do that, and arguably more effectively, by moving the team to TO.

Our cable bills can run you over $100.00 a month that is if you want a movie channel attached to it. Then you have internet which is another $50.00 for high speed.
I was almost tempted to get rid of cable and use an antenna, but the bylaws in my town dont allow antennas. however i did try a pair of high end rabbit ears on my tv and I got about 20 channels all from buffalo and Toronto.
But i am screwed now as TSN has all the rights to CFL football which includes the Grey Cup, which means if I dont have cable I cant watch football CFL style anyways

It's gonna be even less next year. Analog signals are slowly being phased out in Jan 2009

Yea, which means I have to keep cable now matter what to get any sports. It would not put past rogers to make the Toronto NFL games on pay per view also. Now wouldnt that be a kick in the pants to fans.

What channels would that be? Living in erie you should get the basic channels such as CTV, CITY TV, CBC and Canwest. Which basically play all the same things as their American counterparts. All exepct for CBC that is.
