View Full Version : it upsets me as a Bills season ticket holder....
.. that the Argos fans will be sitting in front of me
especially considering that as a Canadian season ticket holder, with Club seats for 6 years, who has had to endure the time consuming and unpredictable border crossing, in a post 9-11 world, the formerly massive exchange rates ... have to sit behind Argo fans
seems to me we should be rewarded for choosing the NFL to spend my money on and not the CFL before today!
it sure seems like its a back handed way to get the Toronto friggin' suits and snobs into the best seats
its sucks and i hope management realize i feel like i have been stabbed in the back on this issue
i just feel i should be rewarded for being a loyal patron

Yeah, that does suck. I won't even pay for the clubs in Buffalo.
But on the bright side, let the suits have the first 20 rows. The best viewing for football games is 20 rows and up anyways.

I agree 100% as a loyal Bills season ticket holder from the Toronto area.

But what if the suits take up the 2nd bowl seats, which in my opinon are the best seats in the house to view the game.. You are right about the first 20 rows they suck. The Argos dont even sell them as you can see from the ad banners they drape across them for their home games

I don't think the suits will take up as much of it as planned. IMO, I think you'll see tickets going in the 200 range for lower bowl, 250 for 2nd deck, and 125 for upper deck sidelines, 100 for endzones. And that is for the regular season games. Preseason games will probably have a face value of maybe 3/4 of the above, if they are doing it the way I think they will.
i just read on the site that they are setting aside 20 000 seats for Argos season ticket holders
how many season tickets are the Bill selling now?
add that number to the 20 000
i have a strange sinking feeling that Bills season tickets holders will not be guaranteed a ticket, i fear its going to be a lottery

I have a feeling that not even 5,000 Bills season ticket holders go for the package. Most are going to compare sticker price, and see how much better value the season ticket package is now.

I dont think that Argos season ticket holders will go for that price either. Maybe the should have the Argos and Bills play a exhibition game against each other. The Argos may get their butts kicked, but it at least would create some interest from both sides.
here you go, we are going to get screwed out of seats for the game, **** it!

I don't think your typical argo fan fits into the category of suits and snobs. Argo tickets are reasonably priced so that families can attend. I doubt if these people will pay the 2000.00.

And that is definitely the case at skydome. The best seats there, for CFL games anyway, are probably the endzone seats. Hard to say how the smaller NFL field will look at skydome, I never attended those exhibition games.

i would guess many of the Argos season tickets holders are companies already, they give them away to employees and customers right now

They had the international bowl at the dome last month. The sidelines are further from the seats then the CFL field. Remember this was a stadium built for baseball first.
its horrible for live music too, just horrible sound bouncing around in that concrete cavern
that is the other thing Toronto lacks, a huge venue for concerts
a new state of the art football stadium will fit that bill too!

For everyone's info, Bills ticket holders are not being offered the seats in Toronto. It is not part of our package.
In order to buy these tickets, you have to register in order to be put on a list of "select" people that they will notify when "1" ticket is available.
That is my understanding of the process. Being a BILLs season ticket is only to see the 8 games in Buffalo - in Toronto (if you want to pay the high prices) you are out of luck, unless you register to be available to get your 1 ticket.
I honestly can't see any of this being successfull. It is just being handled to poorly.
