Let's hear some offers:

Chazz, sorry homey, but I'm going to create a little competition here. I won't disclose your offer, being a considerate friend;)

Guys, I have the #3 pick in the FA draft, NOT the ROOKIE DRAFT!

That means you are basically GUARANTEED the QB that you want for your team (if that is your strategy). With Brady, Romo, Manning, Favre, etc.. There are 10 QB's that I think are worth having in this draft. If you're in the muddled middle, please send me along some offers to guarantee your target player. Otherwise, the good ones will be scooped up. I don't think there's a lot of people who will spending their first round picks on a DE or C, if you know what I mean.

The QB can make or break your team from the word 'GO'. He is easily the biggest impact player on the field IMHO.

I will consider the offers based on the value chart from the NFL draft. It better make some sense, so don't send me some BS offers. I will be fair, too.

Look at the list and take your pick. Depending on how far I am willing to move down must be indicative of the offer. I am more interested in FA draft picks as extras, so bear that in mind. Rookie draft picks as offers will be considered secondary.

Bring it!

A 2nd round pick in this draft is worth much, much, much more than those of the NFL Draft. All players in this draft are proven and there will be a good stock of them for almost 3 rounds. Not really the same drop off in talent like there is in the NFL draft.

Thank you. This is what some people seem to be failing to realize.

The #3 pick is legit... you're sure to get one of the big three QBs if you want one of them... but if you miss a 2nd or third rounder you're missing a star player on your offense or defense or one of the premiere linemen in the league.

It's the rookie draft where options like moving up for a 3rd rounder or so might be more viable.

Mikey...I'd call you a name...but it would not look good if a mod publicly broke the CoC...and on purpose...

Do what you have to do...with me, you're only moving back 2 picks...

I agree with BillsVa - the NFL Draft chart doesn't apply...

I like negotiating from a position of power. :chrisbrown:

You can call me names if you want. To Chazz's credit, I thought I had the 3rd LAST pick and he came to me looking to trade, and I was well informed.

Chazz, also...you said your offer was contingent on another deal. It wasn't a formal offer quite yet, so I figured I'd do a little posturing. Nothing personal, all business, my friend....

Thanks-

M

I will certainly take this into consideration, and thanks for clearing up the reality of the situation to all of us. This type of thing will only help everyone. I may just trade this pick as a learning experience.

I have a few offers too, just to let you all know. Make them good.

I will make a decision, in all fairness, in the next 3-4 days, so keep 'em coming. If you have offered a FA pick (some have), sweeten it with a rookie pick or something.

I have a premier pick here....

I agree, the NFL trade chart simply doesn't apply in our situation. I'm interested in working some trades but I think I will probably wait untill a few have gone thru to see what the market gets set at.

Another thing to consider is that there are less teams, so the value of the picks also goes up due to that. For example, in the rookie draft, an early 2nd rounder is really a late 1st rdr and an early 5th rdr is really a 3rd rdr.

that chart will apply...kinda...when we get to the Rookie draft.

And he's going to play darn well for whoever drafts him too...I just wouldn;t sign him to anything more than a one year deal...LOL

That's funny about Favre. I wonder how far he falls if this is a keeper league?

Should be very interesting, indeed....he had a great year this year...

With an approval contingency, I now have the 4th pick in FA. I have traded with Chazz, for him to move up one spot, for a 5th round rookie pick.

This is pending approval....

I NOW HAVE THE 4th FA PICK....hit me with offers!! It all starts tomorrow, so get on it!

Oh man....you've got real man-love for Simpson. It might be a problem.

Is there another Buffalo Bill, who had the last name Simpson that turned into a real gag on society?

LOL
