I will not be here tomorrow until after dinner so don't get too upset if I don't approve a trade right away....I'll be at work until 4:30 and home around 5.

Two reasons. 1) Its just to difficult to keep up with. and 2) They really need to be approved.

i mean it only makes sense

its not our fault that the league officials can't do it alll
i know its hard and im not talkin' down on them but we could lose an amazing opportunity to trade out of a round, say if our player issn't there or we think he'll b there 10 slots later or something
it ruins the 'real' feel of a draft

Its up to Beast mostly. he's the transaction King! Whatever he says, I'll go with. We'll wait for him to make the call. Its his show tonight. I'll be here to help out and my show tommorow night. I'm gonna leave it up to him. But it is a huge pain in the arse when everything is going on. We're trying to fit two rounds a day in here so it doesn't last 2 friggin months. With 4-5 minutes between picks, its just to friggin hard.

Here's the deal: We did think about this. The problem is that Chazz couldn't get Beast and I mod capabilities to run this thing. Therefore only he (Chazz) can edit general posts. we can all edit our own, but that leaves Beast as the only one that can follow, keep up with and post the trades. He also has his own team to build. the 4pm deadline makes sense to me. Maybe we even extend it to 5:45 or something. I'm not sure. But the less problems the better.

Frankly, these one-sided unfair trades are BS, chunk. A few people about got away with murder yesterday ad that just ain't even cool. It's a good rule to have the transactions cut off at 4PM IMO.

Even the playing field for the obsessive compulsive traders. I actually turned down a trade yesterday offered to me when I was picking, and I felt bad for the person offering....true story (cough cough sledge)....

Keep it fair and easy on the guys who brought us this league, and quit your belly-aching...

Good point Chazz and I didn't think of that mself. Not trading during the draft makes this much more smooth. Especially for the members that have never done one of these before.

I like the 4pm trade deadline. The only reason I had a problem with it yesterday was because a trade had already gone thru and then they said they were cutting off trading, which I objected to, but then said that this would start today not in the middle of yesterday.

Look at it like this. These guys were motivated and nice enough to even start this thing. On top of their own teams to run, they are trying to keep up with running the draft, keeping up with the picks and players, dealing with trades(and it was said at least twice that I remember that there were typos or different trades proposed by the trading partners), and god knows what else that we wouldn't know about unless we were in their shoes. Do people really expect them to sacrifice time spent on running their team so they can sit their and negotiate with 2 trading partners who can't even submit the same trade?

Someone mentioned having non team owners running the trade part during the draft. I think that's a good idea also, and something that could and should be brought up during next offseason on the league council, assuming of course there are people interested and they could twist the mods arms to give editing powers in this forum(not sure how all that works or if it's possible on these boards so I'm just talking out my azz here).

Anyway, the coffee hasn't kicked in and I'm rambling, but my point is it's not fair to expect Beast to keep up with all that during the draft, and it's not fair to not allow the teams to trade at all during the draft, so having the 4pm cutoff is a fair solution for all parties, IMO.
