He is a man to man cover CB also......leads me to believe that the reports aren't false that we're scrapping the Tampa2!

is it a conspiracy that i bring up his height and my post is deleted?
::mods:: there is nothing wrong with criticizing a player. I like him, but i'm concerned about the height of our competition vs the height of our CB's

what does CB height have to do with it? The Giants didn't have tall CB's and they handled NE!!! It comes down to pass rush man

His height is actually very good for a cb.

That is what I'm talking about. With that speed he can make up for any/many mistakes that he'll make.

Good choice!

That's not how the bills see it. We could have gotten Merling if we needed stout pass rush. He's a good choice but 5'10 is a bit on the short side.

i like it.

I have been for DE as much as anybody, but Merling at #11 would have been dumb. He hasn't been selected in the first 29 picks, he obviously wasn't worth a first round grade.

We got the best corner in the draft. Not the sexy pick, but he helps our secondary right away. Thats what we wanted, a guy who can help right away not a rotational DE. Now if Harvey was there, that would have been a different story.

um no, it isnt bad like some people are making it seem, but he will be average in height at best compared to the other guys in the league

His speed is excellent, if not the best in the draft. His height is average. As far as Buffalo scrapping the Tampa 2, I don't think that's necessarily accurate. Buffalo wants some flexibility. I think the Tampa 2 might still be the base defense, but the Bills are going to change things up more, do some blitzing and run more stunts than last year. They know they didn't get enough pressure on opposing QBs last season. Adding Stroud in the middle of the line will help by creating more one on one pass rush situations for our DEs, but we're looking for still more.
