This may have been mentioned in one of these comment threads but I got an interesting stat from WGR on my way home from work. Two years ago McKelvin held Calvin Johnson to two catches for 9 yards. I was already sold but just icing on the cake.

That's awesome, although I'd like to know how much you could blame that on Johnson's QB. After all, Johnson was known to be a freak despite having bad QB's at GT. Very interesting stat, though.

Cool. Hope he can shut down Randy Moss like that.

that Calvin story must be a mistake. haven't you read all the posts here about how he's too small? there's no way he could hold a guy 6'5" to just two catches. it's fiction. and the naysayers are right, as usual.

go Bills!!!

McKelvin said it himself in his interview at the combine.

I've watched Leodis play down here in Alabama. He breaks up the route patterns receivers want to run with his speed. Calvin Johnson had LM velcroed to him in the TROY-GT game a couple of years ago. Most importantly, Leodis plays pi$$ed, if you pardon the expression. If he gets his hands on the ball whether it's a pick or a kick, he has tremendous turn around speed and great field vision.

thats what i like to hear a player that comes to the feild with a chip on his shoulder that wants to make big plays

I love the way he said it in is combine interview. Here is my recollection of those events.

Interviewer: Did you face any name receivers at Troy?
Leodis: I played Calvin Johnson last year.
Interviewer: How did you do?
Leodis (matter-of-factly and without hesitation): Two for nine
Interviewer doesn't quite get it...
Leodis: Two catches for nine yards.

The way he presented was that it was no big deal, happens all the time. He EXPECTS to hold everyone to those kind of numbers. I love his understated confidence.

you cant blame the GT QB. Calvin Johnson was often TRIPLE TEAMED in college! I saw it many times, and he still got his catches! McKelvin's got to have to some game to hold him to 2 for 9...
