I mean, all the talk about the other receivers, and what did we need? A big receiver to go along with our little speeders - Hardy is 6'5". SOmeone who can score TDs - 36 in the Big 10 - are you freakin' kidding me? Someone who can be physical across the middle with good routes and good hands...

This is the MAN. The only receiver I saw that gives us everything we need to match up with Evans and Parrish.

Well, we need a tall WR.

And our trend in the past was character. Really who's the highest character out of sweed, kelly and hardy. I"m not knocking the pick, but we needed to pick one of the three, and I guess I"m happy. He did man up at the combine, so , I guess. Yay!

The only other viable options for WR were Thomas and Nelson. I suspect that we had Hardy rated above Nelson all along. He may have even been 'our guy' all along. At the very least, he was our 1st alternative, so a good job has been done so far - especially without needing to trade up.
I think from here, perhaps trading up to get a TE might just do the trick as far as doing what we can to upgrade the Offense.

I think finley and bennett could hang around till 3rd rd...if we miss on them we will have to make due with what we have for a year...but I think there are some ok guys left at te..but a little bummed davis/keller/carlson are gone
