I'm SO excited about Hardy - I didn't know he performed that well last year? 16 TDs!? I couldn't be happier

Some people will not be happy no matter who we pick! I like the Hardy pick because as far as I know he doesn't have the injury history of Sweed or Kelly.

I've been all about Hardy since February. Figured we'd have to trade up a bit in the 2nd to get him but this has been the strangest draft I've seen in years.

Why did everyone have sweed and Kelly higher on their boards ? Don't get me wrong , I'm happy we draft a WR .. Hope they shock us with a decent TE. With all the draft picks ya would of thought we trade back up in the second round ?

I think Hardy is a limited WR, but I'm happy with the pick. I mean, he is a red zone freak. That is fine with me. Kelly and Sweed have dropped FAR. And teams have picked other WRs that werent as highly touted over them. Their production was average. Hardy catches touchdowns. Thats what we need. let Evans and company do the other work while Hardy polishes the rest of his game...

Funny, all I see are topics about how amazing that pick was.

Not the threads I have been on. I honestly believe we got the best WR in the draft and I'm not saying he will but he has the "potential" to be a # 1.

I would have rather got Malcolm Kelly, but I can live with Hardy. Better then Sweed. The only concern I have is that Hardy might become a bit of a pacman.

right some of you guys only know how to ***** about who we pick, we got the top CB and also a top Tall ( which everyone in WNY wanted a tall) WR.
They are Bills - deal with it and stop complaining, support the team !

I really wanted Sweed, but am just as happy to land Hardy, he is even bigger than Sweed.

dude it takes ALOT to be like a crackman. he got arrested 6 times in 2 years.
hardy had one mishap, that if the bills overlooked it, you better believe it wasnt a big deal, which was 2 years ago. he'll be fine. you wont think twice when is dominating D-backs in the endzone

Hardy is a Huge character risk despite what The team wants you to think. and Off-field issues asside, the dude's only real benifit is his size. he's not THAT fast (although he's proboally faster than someone who stands almost 6-6 has any right to be) his route running isn't that good, he's got quality hands.
personally I want to see him bulk up and convert to TE. Bills need at WR was a Bonafied #2 wr who could potentially become #1 if we decide we dont want to pay for lee. hardy is a Possession inside reciver who's good for getting into the middle of the field and pulling passes out of the air.

Pac Man arrest record is NON-VIOLENT. Hardy Beat a woman, and then interfered with the police investigating. Pacman has never been anything but helpful to any law enforcement agency investigating him.

I wanted Sweed but there has to be a reason why despite being projected in the mid first round he is still available while three receiver projected in the 3rd of 4th are picked.

Would rather Sweed I will admit that.
HOWEVER, Hardy is a freak! I do not think you could have went wrong taking either Hardy or Sweed.
You can not argue with 36 TD over a college career. Say what you want about the guy, there is the production that can not be ignored.

Pac Man wasn't the shooter, didn't even know who the shooter was. Jones' most serious arrest was Possesion of Marijuana. he's been charged a few times for misdemeanor assault for spitting on people.

This is so far off base, I don't even know where to begin. I have been to all his home games the past 3 years and disagree totally. He is NOT a character risk. His only real benefit is his size? Nah. Think about the 4.45 speed, 39 inch vert, big hands, good balance, 36 td's in 3 years, the total mismatch on jump balls and fade routes near the end zone. He didn't go to as well known of a football factory but he played well against high level competition and has a lot of improving left in his game.

At first before we picked Hardy i thought Sweed was a lock and when i heard Hardy i was surprised and Happy 1st because we actually took a WR and 2nd because this guy is a giant with a knack for the endzone. Hardy and Lee will have opponents fear playing us now because of the miss match and this will help my boy Marshawn the most. Lynch will put up HUGE #s this year mark my words

I actually laughed out loud when I read he wanted to convert him into a TE!!!!! Yea good idea, I also think trent should be our new middle linebacker and marshawn our new long snapper.

that's a dream come true. i'm all aboard the hype train. he could play below average and still be a factor with attributes like that. absolute freak.

The dude beat his baby's momma and the baby, then interfered with the investigatin officer, anyone willing to do that is a character risk plain and simple. This isn't also mentioning his suspension for getting into a argument with the coach.
His 40 speed is awesome, I'm so glad that all WR's do is run 40 yards in a straight line. you need more than speed if your going to break coverage in the NFL. his 39inch vert is mostly a product of his size-wingspan, there is no denying the dude is a physical specime, but in the NFL Size won't be enough.
36td's in 3 years (most of them coming in 2 years) does look impressive, but you also have to take into consideration who IU plays. They're in the big 10 so that's really impressive because 2 of the best defensive programs are also in the big 10... except Hardy didn't play OSU and Penn State in the same season, Indiana's schedule includes alot of who-dats. Also this production is also inflated by the fact that at the college level when you don't play alot of factory programs every year you can get away with doing the same thing over and over again, what IU did was throw jump balls to Hardy when they got in the redzone, and because he's such a physical freak it worked. that, however, will not be very successful in the NFL.
"alot of improving left in his game" isn't neccicarly a trait you're looking for in a guy you drafted to be your future #1 WR.
