As long as he has the the attitude I'd say 82 or 83 but the attitude should be 100.

Some of you guys must be new to madden. Very rarely do 2nd round picks get a rating over 80. I say he gets somewhere around a 76-79.

Madden overall rating doesn't matter anyways. So much of the rating is based on attributes that fluctuate (awareness, catching). The intangibles is what makes a player good in Madden. You can take a Matt Jones and turn him into a 99 WR in no time.

You have to be kidding. Last year Revis was 82 and McKelvin is a better prospect than him. Dwayne freaking Jarrett was 80 and he was taken later than Hardy. There is no way Ellis is a 69. The majority of players in the game are over 70.
McKelvin- 84
Hardy- 81
Ellis- 78

Paul Posluszny was not rated that high in Madden. I think Paul was an 80 when the game came out.
I would like to think Hardy is a tad better than that.. Maybe an 82? A guy who is 6'6" and produced 36 career TDs has to be rated in the 80s.

Come on man were the Bills a 75 if we are lucky. Didn't they only give Evans an 85????

Something like that.

the popularity of this post has convinced me that some people here make arguments for bills moves so that they can do better in madden. I've always suspected it, based on some peoples arguments (chad johnson, roy williams? jeremy shockey? come on) and even made a post wondering about it... but this sorta cinches it...
this and the ones for the other draftees. shame on yall

90-91 Speed
mid 90's jumping, probably high 60's low 70's awareness, low 80's catching, high 80's speed, mid 70's acceleration...i think those are the important categories for WR's...he should be a good prospect for progression

76 - 82 range.
Rookies are always lower on there and it's usually their inteligence that they use to bing them down not their actually ability which is silly to me. This is especially pointless when it comes to rookie QBs on the game. Your controlling them completely so their intelligence doesn't even matter.

i would say 80 with like 88 speed, but hes 6'6" so he will be going up...unstoppable if you actually play with him

I created Hardy. Made James in the range of a 78-80 type... Even at 6'6" the guy is not unstopable. I do not understand why, it is not like I am ready for the Madden Tournament, but I am not the worst either.
Hardy is def awesome to have in the game, but for some reason every DB in the game has a jet pack on and can jump to swat the ball. I do not get it. Even a lob pass to the corner of the endzone the DB gets up there.

because even if his stats are wicked good, the games AI takes over and kinda neutralizes it, i dont know its hard to explain, like when 88 speed RBs wit like 78 acc and 79 agility burn like terrence mcgee or donte whitner or other fast players, stuff like that

I know what you are saying. I just do not think it is right that Moss, Burress, and players like that handle any secondary I use in the game, but yet our own can not do a thing.
What else really gets to me... Before the draft I made Limas Sweed for the Bills, and over the years in the franchise I had Sweed (after the drills inbetween games) upto a 95 route runner and a 95 speed. I was playing against the Jets.
At that point the guy on the Jets was a computer created draft pick whos speed was an 88 and acc of 85... Meanwhile, NOT ONCE did Sweed ever beat the guy on a fly route...
I really hope Madden fixes that. I mean, Hardy is not a track star, but running a 4.47, and if you bite on a short route and Hardy gets behind you!!!!
