Wow, just when i thought the Bills had some brains with an awesome 1st round pick in McKlevin, they bring me back to earth with James its all about me Hardy. There is little upside to him other than his height, but what good is that gonna do when he breaks his knee in the 1st game. So, we choose Hardy, and i could have lived with that IF Sweed, Davis, and Malcolm Kelly who about a month ago a ton of people were taking in the 1st round were not there. I would take any one of them over Hardy. Sweed and Kelly both are WR and fit the height need, but they dont have character issues and arent so tall that they will get hit low and get hurt. Why o why do we even try if we are going to be stupid like this?

Like I said in another post, he likes Buffalo, he is a GREAT pick. He will help us tremendously in the redzone. He seems like a great guy.

dude, shut up. Im not an asshole, i just have an opinion. Kelly and Sweed are both better overall recievers then Hardy. Although he wins the jump ball category, thats pretty much it.

Hardy is the better receiver for Buffalo, case closed.

My thought on this is that Indiana has far less talent than Texas and Oklahoma, especially at the QB position and Hardy put up absurd numbers. Who do you think opposing teams focused on when playing Indiana? When other teams played Texas and Oklahoma, they had other top players to focus on. Hardy was still unstoppable with being the only offensive talent at IU.

Kelly-not as fast as hoped, concerns about the health of his knees, and he seems to be something of a whiner.

Sweed-questions about his wrist and why it took so long to heal.

Hardy-seems to have answered character questions. Speed is comparable to Sweed, was tremendously productive for Indiana. Probably raw in route running, needs to get stronger in upper body. The comment about being hurt by getting hit low is not necessarily accurate. Harold Carmichael had a very good career with Philadelphia and had very similar measurables, though maybe not as fast. It doesn't necessarily follow that tall receivers are going to have injury issues because of height.

My biggest concern is it might take a year or two for Hardy to bring his route running and strength up to par, but I don't necessarily thing Sweed and Kelly are locks to be more productive in '08.
