What I like about Hardy the most is he played at one of the worst college football programs in the nation in Indiana and still put up very good numbers in his three years. Its not like this guy was surrounded by athletes like guys Sweed, Kelly and Thomas at powerhouse programs. We needed a big possesion reciever, he's fast, quick and has good hands.........not to mention he's 6'6 220!! I dont know what the heck Washington is thinking. Do they really think they are that good at other positions where they go WR, TE and WR in the first two rounds? I doubt it.

I never really like Washington. But they should be very interesting this year. I hope they beat on the Cowboys.

If you are not convinced that Hardy is a better prospect than Kelly or Sweed by now, you'll just have to wait for the regular season to convince you.

I have to think Washington realizes they are going to have to put ALOT of weapons around Campbell for him to be successful, and maybe one of their three picks will turn out to be one.

No QB to get the ball to those weapons on offense.

IMO, Hardy was not the talked about pick, but I get the sense that isn't such a bad thing. If he played at Florida or USC, I think he's right in the mix with the other more talked about WRs.

Agreed. Look at who was the first WR taken. A guy from Houston, didnt realyl hear about him to much before the draft.

Hardy is a perfect fit for our needs, thats why we went for him. Notice how late Sweed went? Almost round 3.

I was pretty much on the fence reguarding EVERY WR in the entire draft. Thats why all the D.Thomas talk at #11 was rediculous too me. My gut says we made the right choice here!!!!

I like Hardy much more than Kelly or sweed...

and the Skins were really stupid to grab WR TE WR with the first three picks....
A.) one of those recievers will rarely ever see the field and be a wasted pick
B.) Davis will rarely see the field because they already have a very good and much more complete TE in Cooley...
they just wasted at least 2/3 of their first picks at least.... lol Stick to blowing all your picks in FA and sucking, give your early stuff to teams that actually know how to use them..

I thought we would go Kelly for his production but Hardys production is also good and what we need in that red zone. I was not surprise but I thought we would take Kelly or Sweed and then many Hardy.. Im happy with the pick

Ill admit it, I wanted Devin Thomas. However, after watching Hardy's reaction to being drafted by the Bills, and his overall confidence, I think most Bills fans will be pleased by Hardy's production this year. The guy is a playmaker, and he resembles Randy Moss and Plaxico Burress. I am so happy we took Hardy. Imagine how good he will be when teams are playing man coverage. There are few corners good enough to defend that kind of talent.

Agree. All I heard was how average the WR class was this year, and that they weren't even close to Calvin's "greatness" of last year. (look what he did this year...ummm..average?). So not taking a WR #1 I was pleased. I mean, this guy is 6'7" tall, 220, who can catch and run?? If that isn't a red zone threat I DONT' KNOW WHAT IS. 2 people that are happy in B-lo are Trent (a huge target even JP couldn't manage to miss) and Lee....finally a compliment to take some pressure off of him.

All in all, a good draft. Confused about some of the late picks...LIke why we need another DE (don't we have 4-5 already on the team) in the third round...who knows. Watching the draft was a TEASE and i want football to start NOW!!!

GO BILLS!

It was a no brainer pick for the Bills. What have the Bills been preaching since last season. We need some more red zone production and a tall receiver. I believe Hardy had 36 TDS which is crazy. He very tall, some sites have him listed at 6'7 btw and weighs 220 pounds. He was very productive and his specialty is in the redzone. Really why are some people shocked by this. We may have found our own Moss or Burress.

Oh I forgot to mention he was a high prospect for basketball as well. He amazing leaping ability. The similarities to Moss are scary in a good way and bad way. Lets just hope we dont have a guy with the same attitude as Moss lol.

the fact is that the guy is 6' 6" tall and will play a huge part in our horrible red zone offense and that is why OBD got him as opposed to the other WRs that were there that are slightly smaller. He also has good hands and can make acrobatic catches for a tall guy. However a lot of people that i am talking to are comparing him to randy moss coming out of college and i think that this is too much hype for a hardy but he will produce.

I like the Hardy pick.

Kelly isn't the fastest receiver and Hardy's size/speed are better overall

Sweed has the best hands of the draft, IMO, but injury concerns are there and Hardy dominates in size again. We need a receiver with the size and speed combination that Hardy brings. Evans would have been smiling no matter who we picked.

Watching the highlights Hardy is great on 50/50 balls in the red zone. Expect the fade and hard slant to be part of the Bills red zone package! I'm stoked, we filled both glaring needs and have my fingers crossed both of these guys can come in an play at a high level right away!

I think the thing is, that Hardy actually does use his size to his advantage...where as Kelly and Sweed don't necessarily..especially Sweed.

I think Hardy was a great pick. He provides an excellent option for short yardage situations and also is a Red Zone threat because of his height. We had red zone trouble last season and I think Hardy will improve that this year or next...

The right choice was made since the team didn't move out of the 11 spot and the reason that happened simply was McKelvin falling into their laps which is AMAZING

Well he was the best redzone threat out of the WR's, so I guess thats what they like. Kids also got good speed for his size. I think Hardy was the right choice, Devin Thomas didn't even make it to us but even if he did you got the possability of a 1 year wonder. Sweed gots that wrist injury and don't think I have to comment on Kelly.

I believe that the reason the Bills picked Hardy instead of Sweed or Kelly were the injury concerns. Hardy has had no major or nagging injuries, while Sweed had his major wrist injury and Kelly has knee issues. I am not in love with the Hardy pick, but it is a good pick and he will help us in the red zone. We need to score more touchdowns, and Hardy will help us do just that.

After all the comparisons of D. Thomas vs Kelly, it will be interesting to see who ends up being the better WR especially since they are teammates now.

All I have to say is 6'6 220 and 36 TD's in 36 games for a weak football program

i think those are good picks for the redskins. new coach bringing in a wco. they didn't have the personnel to run it.

With Hardy and Teyo Johnson we have a basketball team. Put those two guys out on the field together, and you create a world of problems for the defense and opportunities for your QB. They still have to be football players, get open, and make catches, but if they can . . . .

with both Hardy and Johnson, I heard espn the other day, "other afc east teams patriots, jets, dolphins are going to have difficulty playing buffalo recievers (Hardy/Johnson/Anderson) due to the height and lack of at the defensive position guarding Hardy/Johnson/Anderson."

But if he played for Florida or USC he wouldn't have been the teams only offensive weapon, he proboably wouldn't have even been more than a #3 wr, and proboally would have been lucky to get 20 career TD's
