I was wondering about the DE from Wake Forest here - but really glad they addressed the DE position!

is that the end of Kelsay?

no, it means we have 4 DE's for our rotation again

I don't know too much about him.

1st team ACC sounds pretty good. Glad to see a DE, that's for sure.
Was he rated pretty high?

is that the end of Kelsay?

not this year. Kelsay will be at least the #3 guy, probably #2 this year.

a fringe first day pick? had a lot of injuries and some character issues......read from espn

Ellis sat out 2007 spring drills after having surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He had the same surgery in October of his redshirt freshman year ('03). He also suffered a right shoulder sprain in 2006 but played through the injury. In 2006, he was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. Ellis' injury history and problems anchoring against the run make him a fringe first day pick but he's got the frame to add some weight and get stronger

He's an awesome player, he'll definitely put some pressure on ole Brady.

Ellis is 6'4" 260 pounds. 22 sacks in 52 games to go along with 46 QB hurries. This kid gets to the QB.

Maybe next season, Chris is going to need the time to get adjusted imo...

Inconsistant is the bad deal with him, but all out effort should shine thur!

great draft. dick, russ and all.

He is a player to develop. He's not taking Kelsay's job anytime soon.

The Marv Levy chapter of running the Bills is now visible in the rear view mirror. Object are not nearly as close as they appear.

Nice of ESPN to finally mention Ellis, only 4 picks after it actually happened.

This is a very solid pick, nothing fancy, but a very solid and adequate pick, that's eventually going to help us out quite a lot, because of the inconvenient fact that Schobel, Denney and soon Kelsay have surpassed the 30-year-old mark line...

Our defense is gonna have to hold opponents under 12 points per week if we're gonna have a solid season.

Kirwan on SIRIUS said we will probably copy Giants in the SuperBowl. Running Kelsay in the inside on 3rd and long and running this kid over around the edge.

The only issue is that he is not disaplined. He was the one who had that late hit at the end of the BC game and kept the drive alive so that BC could win.

NFLN siad that one of the scouts that they spoke with at the combine said the only thing that this kid needs is just to "get it"
Said that he has all the tools, but it hasnt fully clicked for him yet. But when it does, he will be great.

I just keep thinking "DE, Virginia Tech, DE, Virginia Tech". Ask Bruuuuuuuuuuce, I think it turned out good for the Bills

Here is ESPN's analysis - don't think he will be a started this year yet. Needs to devleop.
Buffalo Chris Ellis DE VIRGINIA TECH
Teams are going to have success running at Ellis; he's undersized and doesn't have great lower-body strength. In fact, he may never develop into an every-down player. But there's a lot to like about his potential as a situational pass-rusher. He's quick, relentless and has the foot speed to develop an arsenal of pass-rush moves.

Ellis is a solid pick, I can't really complain that much. He should be a really solid DE for Buffalo. I just hope Rucker or Finley falls to Buffalo in the 4th.
