Where did Ellis line up? Right or left?
I assume we'll want him to play the left, because he has the potential to start.

PFW lists him as a RE. I see him as a backup to give Schobel a breather and keep him fresh. Honestly, he'll take a bit of coaching before he's ready to be a starter. His best role next year will be as a guy who just pins his ears back and gets after the passer.

Thanks. Sounds right. If he's played from the right already, then he backs up Schobel and Kelsay and Denney stay on the left, as it was in 06. If Ellis and when Ellis develops as a starter, he moves, Schobel gets traded, something.

He played both sides at VA Tech, I think he's going to be used as a situational pass rusher and nothing more for a while, he isn't very strong against the run.
But I do expect him to play both sides..

Yes he has played both LDE & RDE but, according to the Bills scouts is also very good against the run.
