He doesn't seem to block well enough to be a true fullback. But if that's the case, I'm encouraged by the fact that they wold want to use a true fullback.

I was thinking maybe the Bills see Dwayne Wright as a FB now?

AHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHA ....thanks for that laugh.

I guess you know more then the experts do, huh? Mayock, the guy who got 90 of the first 100 guys right...REALLY like the pick. Said he was GREAT value and that he will really add to our CB stable.

But you must know more then Mayock, right? I mean, why arn't YOU in a draft room or on TV today? Oh ya....your no different then the rest of us, and probably have never watched one of these picks play a game in there lives.

If you have and still have the same link of thinking...then I really just feel sorry for you.

Could be, kid.

I hope they give Wright another chance first.

As per nfldraftcountdown.com

Strengths:
Has excellent size and bulk...Strong and powerful...Tough inside runner...Does not go down easily and will pick up yards after contact...Nice vision and instincts...Has pretty good hands...Physical and punishes defenders...Offers some versatility...Is a very good blocker...Proven workhorse with a lot of experience...Real productive.

Weaknesses:
Does not have great timed speed...Not very quick or explosive...Isn't very elusive and doesn't have much wiggle...Not a big play threat...Won't get outside and turn the corner at the next level...Ball security is an issue...Really has a ton of mileage on his tires and durability may be a concern...Did not play against top competition.

Notes:
Could also potentially project to fullback in the NFL...Division II's leading rusher in 2007 and led his team to the National Championship game...North / South runner who is a jack-of-all-trades but master of none..Not starting material but can make a roster and contribute in a number of different ways...Was dominant as his level and has emerged as one of the best small school prospects in the 2008 NFL Draft.

Those sound like some solid FB attributes to me. I want to see this kid in training camp. Maybe he bulks up a little bit but it sounds like he could be a nice versatile fullback.

Reading a little about him and watching some of his highlights i think this kid is a running back.

He makes sharp cuts, and he's got good vision. He doesn't go down on first contact, and 92 career touchdowns tells you something about his desire to get to the endzone.

Why do people think he is going to be a FB? Because he doesn't have good long speed. Well, you don't need long speed in the redone, and it doesn't help too much until you get through the second level when running between the tackles.

I see him as a solid red-zone back to share some carries with lynch.

I hope they give Wright another chance. I don't think he got a chance to prove anything last year.

Not completely true. He proved to be an excellent blocker in college and the fact that he can bruise defenders makes him work a solid look at FB. And who says a FB can't also be a short-yardage back? A la Mike Alstott?

I don't care about the comp or the time - the guy produced - I am sure they have him penciled in at FB and he will be able to pop one from time to time - he had over 1500 yds all four years, that is amazing - they do tackle in DII, so he had to earn those yards

Welcome to Buffalo

Like someone was saying...he could be our Mike Alstott (sp). Lead blocker...but also capable of taking the ball and ramming it home if necessary.

The more I think about this pick the more I like it...this kid smells the red zone.....
