Don't judge Omon before you see him!
I admit I haven't seen him before, but it looks like he has a good initial burst, GREAT VISION, and decent speed. Looks like he has good instincts. Here is a highlight video:

Here is another highlight video for Omon:

We might be saying "OH MAN" to OMON!!!!
Omon compares himself to Priest Holmes.....
I can see where that comes from. Heruns with a VERY SIMILAR style.

Omon is definitely a diamond in the rough...give him an opportunity and you won't be disappointed!

Vision is fantastic, speed will get better (injured knee before combine, originally a 4.51 runner I heard), initial burst is great as well. Good solid blocker when needed too.

ok, i hope he pans out (my hope for every Bills pick or pickup) but a couple things.
now, first, i don't watch college ball and dont' know the distincitons between all the divisions; i just know people said he comes from a lower-level division.
now, the players i've seen in these highlight vids look really slow and have the worst tackling technique i've ever seen outside of highschool ball. it really looked like highschool players to me. now, maybe that's just Archibong making otherwise good players look silly.
or maybe the defenses are just really bad.
or maybe both. he's a good player playing against many bad ones.
but i'll tell ya, he's in for an eye opener when he starts to play agains real NFL linebackers. none of this grab-the-top-of-your-jersey tackling and bad angles and horrible pursuit speed.
but i hope he does well. i guess that's why he was picked that late.

I've seen the guy in person, several times, and he really did make everyone look that bad. The only time he was slowed down was when teams went all out against the run. Then his team would win with the pass. He's not slow like many believe. He runs with a lot of power, delivers hits rather than waiting for them.
Obviously NFL LB's are a lot better, but every player faces the same changes in talent. Even coming out of D2, he still saw and ran over D1 LB's in the Texas vs. Nation game on his way to winning MVP. So he's obviously not scared of anything.
Another thing a lot of people don't realize is that he would have been playing in the Big 12, but his coaches hurt his chances coming out of HS. They didn't give him any direction and he was left to do a lot on his own. He received looks from almost the entire Big 12 North, had a small offer from Nebraska, but this was during the Callahan transfer. After he committed to NWMSU, he received a full over to Kansas (would have been a senior on this years Orange Bowl team), but decided to keep his word to Northwest, where he had committed.

a man amongst boys for sure...theres no reason to believe he wouldn't have excelled in the BIG 12. With 10 picks we could afford to go after a pick like this kid...lets hope he can push dwayne wright to perform better or even for his spot.
