Watch what happened in the snow game, and what Jamal Lewis did to us. Our run game was bogged down. They are building this team for January. I have a great feeling about this kid.

Omon's good in weather too. Two games this year in bad weather:
Both NCAA playoff games as well.
1. Snow on a frozen, destroyed field: 37 carries, 309 yards, 3 TD's. 3 rec. 24 yards.
2. Ice on turf, icy mist all game: 31 carries, 292 yards, 3 TD's. 3 rec. 12 yards 1 TD. Also included 98 yard run. Game was against #1 team in Division II. Team had 40 game win streak before meeting Omon

Why take a DII back, when Mike Hart was still on the board!?!?! Last time I checked Michigan has crappy weather too, not to mention playing D1 and dominating for 4 years.
I watched Hart in H.S. and you could tell he'd be special. Everyone said he's to small to play D1, then he went to Michigan and dominated. The same is said about him now, and the Colts are going to be real happy when he takes his work ethic and legs that never stop to the next level...
This is the only pick I really have a problem with..

If Mike Hart and his 5'8, 4.7 speed are so impressive, why did he get passed over by the other 30 NFL teams so easily? Hart is decent, but is shorter, slower, and lacks the ability to change direction like Omon has. It's easy to look impressive running behind Jake Long for 4 years too

I'm a grad student at Northwest Missouri State and I've had the privelage of watching Xavier Omon play for the past 4 years. There is nothing about this dude that will disappoint you...that I can guarantee. Not only are his stats absolutely insane, but the kid has a work ethic and drive that is going to make people look bad. He will do whatever it takes to contribute...if that means special teams...he'll do it. This guy can seriously compete for the number two RB job, and I think him and Lynch will be an excellent combo attack. Omon may be big, but he is crazy elusive. His motor never stops...he reminds me a lot of Walter Payton...and he turns on the turbo when it counts. He ran for 274 yards and 5..yes 5 TDs against Pitt State at Arrowhead Stadium...308 yards and 3 scores on Danny Woodhead's Chadron State Eagles...and then ran for 292 yards and three scores against perennial D2 powerhouse Grand Valley State...in back-to-back rounds of the playoffs. His speed gets knocked..yet he broke a 98 yard TD run in the ice and snow against GVSU in the semis. This kid will make an immediate impact...mark my words.
