this guy looks really good, very athletic... He is a former basketball player, and in an interview (watch link)... he said he can still DUNK.

This guy could be a Jason Peters clone, GREAT PICK

If he is Karl Malone's son, why is his last name Bell? Don't get that one

This guy must be the weakest offensive lineman in the draft. The OTs ranked by Walterfootball.com averaged about 30 presses of 225. This guy only did 10.

A) He didnt start playing football untill his JR year in COLLEGE!

B) He was playing B-Ball before that and they dont emphasize upper body strength, more core and legs.

C) 10 reps of 225 equals around a 300max, so at least he's pushing up his own weight.

D) He has pretty long arms and long armed people dont really have those great numbers of bench presses.

E) Calias Campbell didnt do that many either...

That's not good for any prospect, let alone a tackle. I can do that and I'm only 5'8 and 190 and no athletic ability. That has to be a misprint.

Valid points but that's still really low for an NFL lineman. A couple years in the weight room with NFL caliber trainers can fix that though. On the bright side Bell has alot of nice qualities and could be a steal just don't expect him to contribute in 08 unless he improves his strength quickly.

It would be awesome if he was the next Antonio Gates.

This is a project pick with a ton of upside. I would like more strength, but as an athlete he can use his legs and body to make up for the relatively weak arms.

This is classic late round stuff and he has all the things you can't coach and is short on some stuff you can - like the weight room.

I am confused. Isn't this guy an offensive lineman? Why would you want him to be a tightend? A reverse Jason Peters? Does he even know how to catch a football?

He'll be his back up. He does need work though.

We have a versatile Chambers ready to fill in with gradual improvement, but not a huge upside. Murphy with more upside and developing quite nicely but still a ways to go. Now Bell who is a year or so behind Murphy... the rawest and least ready but with the biggest upside. Exciting but a bit scary if we hit a rash of injuroes at Tackle.

so it sounds to me like he will make the practice squad.

His name isn't Malone because Karl Malone isn't his father, but merely a sperm donor..

yea but ten is very weak and it does not mean he can put up 300 pounds max it really depends how he was trained, they should throw this guy in the weight room from day one.............. I'm not saying it is everything but 10 reps at the college level is questionable, in the NFL I would be scared to go out there, I played balll D1 at BGSU for a year and half till i lost my scholarship cause of grades I moved to LT from TE when i got there and only did 7 reps at 225 when i started and 16 when i finished but i still held my own when practicing with starters, but that year in the weight room made me 1000 times better this kids upside is just ridiculous
