The force is strong with this one. I love Edwards, but I want to be the first one on the Luke Drone bandwagon, yay!

yeah sweet! the bills are on the move!
i like the signing. qb is one position you should stock pile going into camp because you need guys to do reps with a lot of the players, get our young WR and our new TE's more reps.

Not my first option. I would have rather Keller but no biggie.

Yeah, like when people thanked Wilfork last year for injuring JP.

Umm, before Jessie Jackson and the Rainbow Coalition comes to town, I was just wondering how and when this took place and whether the Bills could get into trouble for talking to this player before the draft was over. I mean we aren't the Patriots and can't get away with tampering type charges ....Wes Achoo Welker...ahemm, achoo, I mean.

Buffalo signed a QB named Dinkens a number of years ago. They tried to change his position. Didn't work.

The Bills have made a great choice in Luke Drone. I believe he will suprise each and every one of you. He works very hard at everything he does. He is such a class act. You all will see in time that he is the real deal. Can you say Tony Romo.

I wish Luke the best. I didn't think he would get drafted after I saw a few shaky performances from him this year. He may just be streaky. He has some nice stats and is a good guy, so I wish him the best.
He is a solid Christian guy, so he may be someone that your kids could look up to if he gets some snaps. He sat a couple chairs down from me last week at church and has a pretty good reputation. Lets hope the NFL doesn't corrupt him like it does some of the other players. The other quarterback who recently played in our area (Eastern IL) has not been the same since Jessica Simpson has been around him.

During the draft we tried to trade JP for Jamarcus Russell, however, Al Davis was reluctant. Sorry I dont have a link.

His Senior year he lost most of his receivers and offensice coordinator. Everything was new around him his last year with Illinois State. Take a look at what he did with his Soph and Junior year.

Luke led the Mt. Carmel Aces (High School) to 2 back2back State Championship apperances. Walk on at ISU as 6th string QB working his way to 2nd String first year. Started the following 3 years.

i like drone. I was hoping to grab him in the 7th, but UFA is great. He needs some time, but he could develope into a solid backup qb.

Come on...so I guess every UDFA should now be labled as a perennial Pro Bowler, right??

My god, this really is the Name Draft for the Bills.
First we draft another CB with the first two letters of his name Mc. Didn't take long for the term "McCoverage" to be coined.
Fourth round we draft a CB named Corner, a "Fine" TE/FB, now we have a Drone at QB.

That's ok. Call me a homer. I watched this kid develop over the years and I still think he will suprise all of you.
The reference to Tony Romo was just a general reference to 1AA. That is all. Don't read too much into that statement.

FYI - Bills Were Targeting SIU QB Hill:
http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/bears/919008,CST-SPT-siu28.article
The Bills decided between Cox and Hill for 251 and went with Cox. Hill then turned down the Bills' UDFA offer and stayed home with the Bears.

I think Hill made a bad decision to go to the Bears. When have they ever been able to manage a QB? Drone was talking with others but said the Bills opportunity fit him the best.
Here is some info on Nick Hill.
From S.I.
Nick Hill 6'3 214 SIU
POSITIVES: Nice-sized touch-passer who does a good job leading the offense. Sells the ball fakes, patient in the pocket, and possesses a quick release. Looks off the safety, scans the field, and locates his receivers. Accurate with the short and intermediate throws.
NEGATIVES: Does not have the deep arm and cannot drive long throws. Struggled with his accuracy out to the flanks and downfield. Not a quarterback who can elude the rush.
ANALYSIS: Hill's game has taken off the past two seasons. While he lacks an NFL arm, he is a solid game manager and a practice squad prospect.
Don't you need all those negatives to be positive?
