At the end of the draft, they were talking about who would make the most immediate impact in the entire draft.
It was the guys and gal with Tony Reali and i cant remember the guys name who said it
But he said that McKelvin would be a great returner and be 2nd in the NFL to Hester.
some of the other people were kinda laughing at him but he stood with his thought.
I was pleased to hear that my friends.

I think we already have a top 3 punt returner in Parrish and a top 5 kick returner in McGee.
McKelvin will probably see time as a returner but it will be interesting just how much he will see.

Is he going to be a returner? I just want him to be a lock down CB That's all :)

who would we have return? mckelvin or mcgee? they both will be playing corner full time so who would you rather have being more fatigued while playing defense?

Yeah I think we'll be seeing McKelvin and McGee standing back and returning kicks... Remember when McGee had all those tds in 2004... look for our S/T to be that dominant again.

He might start but i would be surprised if we was the Top returner for the first few games while playing the Nickel
unless he clearly dominates in the preseason and wins the # 2 CB job from Greer and James.

maybe we can get creative with mckelvin and mcgee.
MAN there's potential for a lot of chemistry there! They'll be on the field together a lot!

Who do you want then another punt catcher??? Come on man if McGee is going to be our #1 he doesn't need to be returning kicks unless McKelvin cannot get it done. I'm glad we have two rather than none. As for our Punt Return Roscoe can get the job done, but McKelvin can be a great change of pace.

I think McKelvn will beat McGee but not Roscoe

i think you put leo on both unt and kickoff return duties. theres nothing like a young player who makes big plays on the returns unit on special teams then translates that confidence on the field! Roscoe danced side to side too much on punt returns and mcgee was VERY tentative on kickoff returns. think of the special teams players that will block for leo; wendling, digi, ellison, ellis, denney, kyle williams, dwright, youboty, corner etc.
with a great return man our field postion will be better and we'll be back to the top special teams in the NFL.

I dont like the idea of my 2 starting DB's Returning kicks. NO Thanks! You can't be that worried about injuries. They will happen. You don't avoid injuries in this league, you overcome them. I want the best return men back there. I want us to be in the best position to win.

honestly i think mcgee is better than roscoe at punt and kickoff returns, however they wanted to lighten the load on mcgee so they have roscoe return punts. not that roscoe isnt super good, i just think mcgee has a ton of talent. not as quick as roscoe, but better balance, break tackle and vision.

Roscoe DID have the best PR Average out of all the ones who qualify...
It would be awesome if Roscoe and Leodis were both back to return the punt.

McKelvin had something like 7 punt return td and 2 KR tds..... I would put McKelvin on punt returns and him and Parrish on kick return although McGee and McKelvin would look sick back there. Its a nice problem to have.

Exactly the Bills didn't like their top corner returning kicks due to the injury risk. But we haven't had anyone able to do it the past few years so thats why McGee has been returning. Now that we have someone thats comparable or maybe better McKelvn will be back there. As for Roscoe I think he has cemented himself as our punt returner.

They want to get McGee out of the kick returner role if possible to cut down on the wear and possibility of injury now that he is our #1 CB. I remember McGee getting hobbled on a kick return once or twice last year, we don't need that happening. I can see us using him for returns in key moments of the game when we need a big play, similiar to what the Ravens do with Ed Reed.

we have 3, put the fear of God in you returners now. Who else thinks our special teams are going to have an impact in the NFL like Va Tech in college football.

lots of starters return punts and kicks.
look at ed reed. or laurence maroney. or steve smith.
you put your most talent returners back there, regardless of where else they play. we're not the only ones who do it.

KR - McKelvin and McGee
PR - Parrish

McGee is great at kick returning because of his vision and looking for the seam without reaching top speed right away while he has that time before the kicking team gets near him. whereas Roscoe is great at punt returns because he can cut and quickly accelerate with the punt team right on him. I'm sure both can handle the other roles, but they are perfect where they are right now. as for McKelvin from everything i have seen he is good at both.

I read somewhere that McKelvin had a lot of his PR and KR touchdowns called back due to holds and stuff. So his stats don't indicate the one's where he took the ball to the house... should be interesting either way. Another returning threat is always a good thing imo...

I think 3 were called back this year - including one for coaches interference on the sideline. LB takes the blame for LM not breaking the record. LM response - no big deal.
I'm telling ya, you Bills fans are gonna love this kid. Just a good ol' boy from the country that likes to hit.
FYI: We have a couple of more 1st rounders in the wings down in little Troy.

Heres a related question.. I'll admit i dont know the answer to this one, what makes a punt returner vs a kick a returner? how are the two jobs different and why do most guys only do one of the two?

He's probably going to split returns with McGee and he'll evetually take over. McKlevin is going to be special.

On McKelvin's Highlight package the last return where he speeds down to the line and almost takes it to the house and runs over a guy at the 10 yard line is so sick. I was really impressed when i saw it for the first time.

The 3rd best?! he had the #1 punt return average last year, almost in history! Maybe Hester is number 1, but parrish is 2 at worst.

yea, we lost some good ST players but thats why we drafted some of the guys we got to fill ST roles, because football has 3 stages not just O and D like most people think.

It worries me that our top two return guys are out #1CB and out future #2CB. Parrish is amazing, but the double threat is def something you have to love.
Pacman was dominate at being the double threat, especially because when they pick the ball off they turn into a returner.
Electric with the ball in their hands!
