I do not know about you but I would hands-down take-
49 TKL
7 SCK
3 FF
Those were Darryl Tapp's numbers from last season. Standing at 6'1" 250..
Ellis who projects to be a better prospect than Tapp... Stands at 6'5" 267..
Plus, watching Ellis, this guy has the SWAGGER this D needs. Chris, is GOOD and KNOWS IT. Add his stlye of play with the intensity of Whitner... This team looks like it may have a very good D.
Ellis may have to be kept in check at times. However, if there is anyone who can do that I would like to think it is Kollar the D-Line coach who will scare the daylights out of ANY HUMAN BEING.

Yeah that's what I like about him, he is supposed to be better than Tapp according to Scott Wright and Mike Mayock

Tapp is a huge part of the success that the Seahakws have on D... If Ellis can come in and put up similar numbers there is absolutely no reason why this guy will not be the fixture for the Bills to build around at DE.

Hi, this is my first post but I have to ask the following:
1.) How is it that the Bills Brass can come out and give a press conference after each pick opposed to staying in the war room and paying atention to the boards, trying to move up/down ext? Is that whole process automated?
2.) Would the Bills have made a move for Fred Davis in the 2nd after picking up a WR. That was something I thought was of high regard for them.
3.) and this one is killing me. Dan Conor of Penn Drops to the Bills if they want him in the 3rd. He was a 1 or high second round pick, so seemingly great value. He played OLB and ILB at Penn and seemed like a gift to really solidify our LB core, if one of them goes down for the year, a la Poz '07. Can anyone explain this to me. I'll be up thinking about it all night.
thanks

1) I have been wondering the same thing myself
2) I was surprised with how quickly the TE's came off the board in round 2. It would have been nice to pick up Davis, but it would probably take a pick from next year to do it.
3) I think Ellis has more value to us because he was a need pick. We needed a pass rusher who can provide depth for us, and we got that. I will take the pass rusher over the back-up linebacker anyday.

I think he was projected as late 1st rounder when the '07 season began, right? So we might have gotten a bit of a steal in the 3rd.

I think he was easily the steal of the draft. IMO watching tape on this guy he looks like he will be starting for us at the end of the season. If Kelsey and Denny continue there sub par performance this kid will take there spot. He looks really good

I love the pick, when the offseason first started I wanted him in the 2nd round.
He's going to give this D-line a different look. He's going to be able to go one-on-one instead of getting doubled.

What you have to love is how this guy knows that he is good. I did not know much about Ellis, mainly because I feel like people projected Ellis as a 3-4 LB. I feel like Buffalo is going to have their replacement for Kelsay!
