Jason Jones WR - Arkansas-Pine Bluff
6'1 180lbs.

"Former Arkansas-Pine Bluff wide receiver Jason Jones may be the first Golden Lion to be drafted by the National Football League in five years later this month. The 6-foot-1 Jones is currently being scouted by several NFL teams as the NFL Draft looms on April 26-27. The Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, St. Louis Rams, Green Bay Packers, and Oakland Raiders have shown interest in the former UAPB receiver. Jones led UAPB with 47 receptions for 793 yards and three touchdowns in 2007. His best season at UAPB was in 2006, when he had 38 receptions for 933 yards and 13 touchdowns, helping the Golden Lions win the Southwestern Athletic Conference Western Division championship. The 24-year old Jones is a 2003 graduate of Forrest City High School. During his workout with the Browns, Jones ran a 4.32 40-yard dash time. In the same workout, he ran a 4.35 40-yard dash. Jones plans on visiting Green Bay and St. Louis in the next week or so prior to the draft. Jones has been projected as a fourth-fifth round pick by several scouts. The defending Super Bowl champion Giants called UAPB head coach Monte Coleman and told him that they were “very, very impressed” with Jones’ workout. - Pine Bluff Commercial"

Wow I remember reading that before the draft. He sounds like a good pickup if he really can run that fast. I'm impressed with the WR's the Bills have brought in so far.

Good pickup, but do we really need more burner-type receivers?

I like the combination of size and speed, honestly. May be a good guy for the PS and coul help out next year if Evans leaves.

Probably won't stick around past training camp... But still, good competition. Might as well give him a look with that speed.

With that size and speed I can see him as a valuable special teamer if he doesn't make it at receiver.

I liked Patrick Carter - 6'3" and 4.38 - did not get a chance to start after transferring to Louisville from GT. Still had as many TDs (5) as some of the highly rated starters. Mix of Red Zone and deep catch tds

With 4.32 speed he would be the fastest Buffalo Bill.

I hear that He has good hands
The questions would then be can he get off the line of scrimmage in the NFL, & How good is his route running? Can he block at all?

There will never be a time in NFL history where you dont need burner-type WRs.
Speed Kills but it cannot be coached!!!!

Saw Jason play at the First Historically Black All-Star game in January. He had 2 touchdowns; did a run off (and won) to see who got the ball first to start the game and was the MVP. Great asset to any team.
