Are you guys happy with taking McKelvin over DRC? McKelvin is the physical type of corner we need, i could be way off with this but I don't think DRC will be as good as everyone thinks in the NFL, obviously OBD thinks so as well.

McKelvin is better simply because of his versatility...the man not only can contribute greatly in our weak secondary but his return skills are incredible. A two way player like him is what puts him above the DRC talk, IMO.
I just dont see DRC being that big of a difference maker...solid but nothing that is going to change games.

DRC = the most overrated prospect in this year's draft.

I think McKelvin is more N.F.L.-ready NOW, and D.R.C. has more long-term potential. Both should be great. What maybe gives McKelvin an edge is that Hester-like return potential.

I'm all for McKelvin also but i mean look at A. Cromartie, he's not in San Diego's return game and he's one of, if not the biggest, difference maker on that defense so is there a comparison between the cousins?

Well this and the fact that Leodis is much more physical. The Bills like physical corners.

DRC's big red flag with me is the assumption that he is the second coming of Cromartie from SD. ? If Cromartie didn't have a breakout year with SD, would the hype for DRC have been there. IDK, but I'm glad we went the way we did and I trust the men we have making these decisions.

Wish McKelvin was had DRC's size, but I'm happy with the pick, yeah. More NFL ready, better competition, and he's a great returner.

No offense to DRC, and obviously I hope and expect nothing serious to happen to him...but I would have been mildly nervous about having invested a #1 pick in a guy that only has one kidney.
Again, I don't think it'll be an issue, but still...The NFL is a whole lot different than Tennessee St. and guys are bigger/faster/stronger/hit harder. Freak and tragic accidents can happen, as we all know too well, and having only one of those major organs would have been a concern.

I loved that we got Mckelvin! I had us taking Mike Jenkins, but thats only because I didn't think Mckelvin was going to make it to us. I think Mckelvin is the best all around CB in the darft and has great KR skills as a bonus. Also I love how he gots that chip on his shoulder, he also gots that quite personallity to him like most are players. I like this guy alot.

Honestly after seeing DRC at the combine, I though he looked like a player with potential injury issues. He is like a stick, Leo looks solid!!

McKelvin fits our system far better than DRC does, McKelvin is best in zone coverage which is what we predominantly run so he fits far better than DRC does.

I would have been happy with McKelvin or Talib over DRC... even Mike Jenkins probably.

DRC = the most overrated prospect in this year's draft.
Thankyou! I have been saying this all along but almost no one wants to hear it.
He would be a 2nd round pick at best if his name were just Dominque Rogers.
