Loved the LEGAL tackle, but was the face wash really neccessary while getting up after the tackle????

Either way, I like the pick alot, I just hope he keeps himself under control in the NFL....

(1st play of the highlight)

You gotta love the rest of this 4 minute highlight reel though!

Yeah, he definitely seems to have a bit of a mean streak in him. Like the pick, but I hope he isn't a dirty player.

Yeah, he won't be much of a factor until next year. He needs about 15 pounds to become a viable, every down DE.

Dude plays fast and violent. gets off the line really quick. I like the 11 tackles for a loss.

It was clearly a legal hit, but rubbing it into the guys face as he's injured doesn't really scream high character to me..

How is he rubbing it in his face?

Were you crying when we drafted butler for his hit on kiwanuka?

As a former offensive lineman and coach, i can say that there wasnt even anything wrong with what Butler did...

AFTER THE WHISTLE....
INTENT TO INJURE....
NOT NECCESSARY....

AAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDD WHY WOULD HE GET SUSPENDED BY HIS OWN TEAM IF IT WAS A LEGAL PLAY THEN SHAUNTA??????????

"Brad crossed the line and for that he must take accountability," Virginia Coach Al Groh said in a statement released by the school last night. "We have talked in detail and he has assured me that his actions on the play at issue were a result of over-aggressiveness and over-exuberance to block a challenging opponent and without malice. His intent was to take the player to the ground, not to inflict injury. In any case, we regret that the incident occurred and apologize to Mathias."

Like I said, nothing wrong with it, from my point of view. I played in the trenches for 8 years, I know what goes on in there and anything goes. In college we gave out stickers for chop blocks. I led the team.

Please... As if after the play Ellis knew the guy was hurt. Chris made the tackle, took his lil extra, and moved on.

Ellis is a player who is GOOD and knows it. This guy is going to bring the SWAGGER that this D needs. Ellis and Whitner are going to make for some high intensity football this season.

if your diving at a players already injured leg (AWAY FROM THE PLAY) after the play was blown dead, there IS something wrong with it, the question is, what is wrong with you??

Those two were going at it all game long (Butler and Kiwi) and had to be separated on more than one occasion. Kiwi even punched Butler later in the game and was ejected. It was a legal cut block, was it late? perhaps, but it was a legal cut block.

Dont even try to figure me out. Ive tried and have had other people try but im not alone on this none of my fellow lineman had issues with what he did...

Offensive lineman do not have an issue with what he did...

I said it before, from a linemans point of view its not a bad/dirty play...

Biased or not, the 5 guys on the O-line do not think its dirty...

Love the attitude. That's something we don't have a lot on this team.

But with our first three picks this year we have guys who have a lot of attitude, confidence and swagger.

I'm not sure there's such a thing as playing dirty on the lines. That play stood out because it was clear, everyone could see it. What about all the things we don't see during the action ? under the pile ? when the camera is pointing elsewhere ? I haven't played on the lines, but I'm sure there's a lot worse going on in there...are you gonna bother washing a tomato stain on your painting pants?

clearly not an every down end this season, but could be part of a 3rd down pass rush package that, if everything is as on paper, could be pretty fierce.
