Need to sign a looooong rookie contract

They need to give him a BIG rookie contract with a lot of years on it (if possible). We have all seen the price tags for good corners when they come off their rookie contracts. Give him a big contract for a rookie with a lot of years.

Considering Long got 5 years is a good indication that not many kids will be signing anything longer than 5 years...

Im prob wrong but I thought that they just changed it so that the max was 5 years. I know that this is how long that Long LT Miami was signed for. Heard that it was 5 for 1st round, 4 for 2nd and 3 for everyone else.

I think we should lock him up for, like, 5 years early. Definitely don't think he'll be a bust, and no-one seems to want to re-sign with the Bills...

I might be wrong on this Shaunta, but isn't the rule that the top-15 draft picks can get 6 year deals??? Not that it matters with McKelvin as he was drafted 11th...

that is the rule, but usually the guys who aren't top 10 or maybe even top 5 picks get 5 year deals.

They can, but it depends on what the other guys are signing as well. Long getting 5 years is a good indication that alot of other guys in the top 15 will be getting 5 year deals as well...

Revis and the Jets were differing between 5 and 6 years. I believe Revis won out.

Whitner got 5 years and 18 million, i'd expect McLovin to get something similar to that due to the increase over the past two years...
