Lower bowl, goal line, near the tunnel. I hope its a good spot to get the kids autographs during and after the game.

I'm looking forward to see a few of the rookies play.

I'm also curious to what poster will be given out to the kids. If I was to guess it'd be Spiller, Jackson, or Stevie.

I could use some ideas on what items to bring for the kids to get signed. Footballs are ok but I was thinking a pennant or poster board because I can hang it up. If i get each kid a poster board it'll hold more sigs and the kids can customize it before the game to show to the cameras.

Greetings!

The moderators have decided to do a minor update to the Code of Conduct that you all agreed to abide by when you signed up to post on this forum.

The bulk of the COC has remained unchanged, what follows constitutes the changes:

1.) Addition of two new infractions: The first is Impersonating a Moderator. The second is Moderator Abuse. Both are 1 point infractions that expire in 90 days unless you acquire multiple infractions of either type.

2.) The definitions of those infractions:
IMPERSONATING A MODERATOR: You are not a moderator so do not correct posters as if you were a moderator. If a thread or post violates the rules, use the "Report This Post" button rather than playing the moderator. Editorial comments on the value of a thread or post, such as "useless thread", "in before the lock", "this thread should be closed", etc., are not welcome. This also may be considered spam, as it adds nothing to the discussion, and furthermore as thread hijacking and taking the thread off topic. If you don't like a thread and it doesn't break any rules don't reply to it! More often than not, that causes more problems than it fixes. Let us handle what is ours to handle.

MODERATOR ABUSE: If you disagree with something the moderators did, fine, disagree and let us know, but do it politely through PM or email ONLY. Complaining on the forums is not permitted nor is discussing an infraction for any reason. Attacking or flaming a moderator via PM or in the open forums is subject to a Moderator Abuse infraction. Be respectful and considerate. Profanity and abusive conduct is not tolerated. Discussion of how an individual moderator does his/her job is also prohibited and is subject to a moderator abuse infraction.

If you have any questions about this update, there will be a thread in the Suggestion Forum to address your concerns.

Thanks,

The Mod Squad

Clarification Regarding Posts/Threads Involving Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation

As moderators, we have become aware of many issues that have arisen regarding post/threads containing discussions regarding race, gender or sexual...

As moderators, we have become aware of many issues that have arisen regarding post/threads containing discussions regarding race, gender or sexual orientation. It appears to be necessary (and unfortunate IMO) that we be very clear about what is allowable to discuss on the message board regarding these topics.

Personally, I would have hoped that by 2013 the color of one's skin, their gender or sexual orientation would not lead to inappropriate discourse on these topics. However, it appears to be a recurring problem, particularly in light of the hiring of Doug Whaley as GM, and the drafting of EJ Manuel as QB.

So here is how we are going to roll with this issue:

It is allowable on this message board to mention race, gender or sexual orientation only as a matter of fact.

Example:

Regarding race:

Acceptable: EJ Manuel is a black QB. (established fact).

Unacceptable: Black QBs are better athletes than white QBs.

Regarding Gender:

Acceptable: wyo is a female poster on this message board.

Unacceptable: Women would not make effective General Managers because they are too emotional and never played the game.

Regarding Sexual Orientation:

Acceptable: Jason Collins is the first player in a professional sport to acknowledge that he is homosexual.

Unacceptable: 'Gay' players in professional sports should never admit to their sexual orientation.

Unfortunately, even when race is mentioned as a matter of factual information, it has been our experience as moderators that further discussion by posters often degrade into commentary that is unacceptable on this message board.

Be aware that moderators WILL close any thread when the FACTS regarding race, gender or sexual orientation deviate into the "UNACCEPTABLE" category.

As a reminder per Code of Conduct:

Any commentary of this nature that is deemed offensive will result in an infraction of three permanent points.

Any commentary of this nature that is deemed an outright slur will result in an immediate and permanent ban from this message board.

I hope this clarifies any questions regarding how the topics of race, gender and/or sexual orientation will be handled on this message board. If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please send a PM (personal message ) to any moderator and they will respond to your questions or commentary. Thank you for your attention regarding this important matter.

~Highlights~
No drinking on public sidewalks or roads without a permit.
Abbott rd is no exception.
It is another "tool" to help enforce keeping the drinking under control.
It is up to the officer to enforce the law with can bring up to 15 days in jail and a $250 fine.

~how I perceive it~
It's like enforcing the fireworks law on the 4th of July; the cops are not really going to do much on game day if you are civil. They just do not have the man power.

Wow, nothing tells the excitement for the team (or lack there of) like looking at stubhub. I think this year I am only going to see the Panthers in person (and Saints away) and looking to sell the rest of them. I'm in section 110 and pay 154 a ticket. Currently only the Pats game looks like it's going to make it's money back. Even the Dolphins tickets, which usually sell for a little more, are going for under 100 bucks.

This early in the season it's never been this bad. We need to go out and sign TO again or something. This is abysmal.

EDIT: I'm a complete idiot. 154 is my price for both seats per game, so they are 77 per ticket. So pretty much going to make money on all the games. Whew, thought I was going crazy and going to lose 1000 bucks this year. Was confused because I also have Falcons tickets (just for resale purposes, I'm not really a fan) and they are 150 a piece. Some of their tickets are going for 400 a piece on stubhub.
