Well we can cross Miller off the board now, sucks, I wanted the kid. Stupid azz cost himself probably 15 draft slots.

Assuming this is true, it's an incredibly bad decision by Miller. Until now he was considered high character and now he has tatooed the Scarlet Letter on his chest. It will be interesting to see where he ends up in the draft.
If this is taken care of and the draft actually matters, none of this will effect Miller's draft status... he will still be top 7-10...
Hopelessly devastated Bills fan.
sorry I meant Von Miller, i'm always confusing myself with those two guys, they should be twins.
Because of the draft. The reason the NFL can have a draft (force players to play for certain teas) is because of their anti-trust exemption. With out it, there is no draft, and players coming out of college could sign with the highest bidder or anyone they wanted.
Von Miller has been put up to this by his agent, a man who has gotten in trouble with the league several times and, I believe, was actually disbarred from being an NFL agent at one point. I feel bad for Miller because he probably is just a naive kid being used. But he is making his bed, and he will have to sleep in it.
Miller saw that $$$$$$ that Maybin got by putting up a big stink and he wants his $$$$$$ also. I mean, who wouldn't want to pay more money for a rookie who has not played a single down in the NFL versus a proven 10 year vet who has been to pro-bowls?(sarcasm) I agree that the NFL 100% needs a rookie pay scale and I agree 1000000% that Maybin "needs to give some of that money back"
I love how some of you know he's going to bust already. Why are you people on these boards go get a GM job!
Personally I think he's going to become one hell of a ball player.

2013 draft
Round 1- Tavon Austin
Round 2 or trade- Ryan Nassib
this is probably an action in equity.... the players are not suing for money but an injunction...
does this change anyone else's perception?
I don't give my opinion, I administer it

as it said the current setup restricts his ability to find an employer - the NFL wants to be the single employer and they decide how employees are assigned, Von Miller's lawyers will say there are 32 employers and they should bid for his services and he can get the best deal and pick his place of work. Any judge has to see this would end the league - there would be 4-10 teams and the rest has beens - Buffalo would not be able to compete
Looking forward to 2013:
Manuel - most upside in the draft
Woods - most pro ready WR
Alonso - tall ILB with coverage skills
Goodwin - fastest WR in draft
Duke Williams - prince of a pick
Meeks - no he is not
Hopkins - best K prospect in the draft
Gragg - vertical threat TE
Go ahead and complain - I am happy with this draft
Adopt a Bill - first choice Alonso, second Goodwin
Is this just so the suit contains someone with standing on the incoming rookie issues?
Two things with this kid. 1. With his sneaking around the Dallas camp like a lost pup I didn't want him when I read that. I don't give a **** who you grow up loving, time to grow up, put on big boy pants and be a professional. I feel this kid will play out his rookie contract and run to Dallas the first chance he can get regardless of pay. Don't want him.
Second, I feel for the kid because he got some BAD advice. No way in hell you put your name on something when you haven't even been drafted. Watch this kid drop to the 2nd round or worse like a stone.
This is a suit of anti-trust where the players are seeking equitable relief.... basically they believe the owners are a monopoly and looking for a court to rule to stop a "work stoppage." They believe a monopoly of the NFL is present and the owners can dictate the market..... no money will be paid, just an equitable determination for either side

Miller might tick the owners off but he will gain immediate respect from his peers. Anyone that is willing to risk their stock to help fight for the cause (whether you agree with it or not) is atleast showing some character imo.
These college players are broke. They have busted their butts, and risked major injury with the dream of getting into the NFL. Now it's time for them to finally collect on the fruits of their labor, time to get their payday, and there is a labor dispute.
You can judge from your computer chair all you want... but I'm pretty sure if any of you were good enough to play in the NFL and you see the potential for millions of dollars in your pocket being squandered then you wouldn't be happy either. Don't be surprised if Miller starts a chain reaction if this thing drags out into the summer. You just might see more potential draftees join in the fight.
