If I'm the GM of this team I use the third pick for the player I want and the rest of the draft I'm trading away for next years draft. Ideally a team wants to move up to three, let's say the Browns, we get there 2nd and 5th. I take who I want I 6, I then trade back again in the 2nd to let's say the Vikings and we pick up a 3rd and a late rd pick.

I trade the pick we got from the Browns and trade it for a 1st next year, I do the same with the other 2nd rd pick. With the two thirds I trade them for two seconds in 2012, then I fill the need spots with the 7 late round picks.

Now we'd have three 1st rd picks and three 2nd round picks in 2012, it's easier for me to say this but it can happen, just not likely. With the possibilty we somehow don't see football next year, we'd be set up pretty nice for a 2012 run.
