you shouldve made this poll public so i could destroy whoever said that Fitz was better than Matt Ryan.

I didn't say that he was better than Ryan, but Flacco on the other hand is one overrated QB. I just don't see fire in Flacco, I mean while surrounded by a weaker team Fitz almost beat him.

I also said that Cassel(NE leftovers),Hasselbeck(because he is an old fart), and Sanchez (probably a homer pick, but it seems to me that he has all the talent around him and plays a very average game).

I will not disagree with that at all. Yes i am old enough to remember all of them.

But, that also doesnt speak very highly of what we have had around here. We must draft for that position for the future. I know as well as everyone else Fitz will be starting this year, but i am also a realist and our schedule this year doesnt present very many favorable matchups with Fitz at the helm.

Nothing wrong with being the 1-2 best backups in this league, but sadly, IMo, thats all that he is.

If they decided to go QB in the first round for the next few years, and utilize free agency to collect actual top-end talent, maybe I could see taking Gabbert in the first, but I just don't see pinning the next 4-6 years of this franchise on Gabbert or Newton- both these guys have way too many question marks.

You're probably right, and that's why I think they need to get the best players in the draft. Gabbert is nothing special, he just plays an important position.

See, when you say Fitz is awful you completely discredit yourself- he's not awful, he's just not the best in the business. You really want to see this team waste another 4-6 years waiting around for a sub-average rookie prospect to 'get it'... he doesn't have 'it'.
