Default Troup adds 11 lbs of beef (326)

"GM Buddy Nix, head coach Chan Gailey and the Bills organization remains high on Troup's potential, however. Troup, for his part, is working his tail off this off-season to keep himself in shape - and it's paid off, as he reported on Twitter last night that he is now up to 326 pounds. He was listed at 315 in his rookie season."

Starting to sound like a full-bodied NT.

Great article, especially Troup's tweet. You gotta just LOVE this guy's attitude. I know he wasn't all we hoped for in his rookie campaign, but I will still be amazed, with his positive attitude and 2nd-to-none work ethic, if he does not become a very solid football player for the Bills. Remember, even a lot of the guys that have played NT in recent probowls struggled their first couple of seasons in the NFL. I just gotta believe this kid will make it somehow.

...and that added weight is all beef.

But I've been reading on these boards that's he's a bust because he didn't have a great rookie season. Now I don't know what to think.

All these conflicting reports, it can do your head in. It's almost as if we should actually give young players time to develop and play before we judge their entire careers. Maybe I'm just talking crazy.

Kyle Williams took about 2 years to hit full stride. Unless you are Ndamakung SUH, you aren't going to be all Pro at NT as a rookie.

Plus, Troup was a 2nd/3rd round rated Nose Tackle, so our expectations should be that he will be a nice solid starter. Not All World immediately.

    2013 Draft
1st) Keenan Allen WR - Cal
2nd) EJ Manuel QB - FSU
3rd) Chase Thomas OLB - Stanford
4th) Darius Slay CB - Miss St
5th) Matt Scott QB - Arizona
6th) Jake Stoneburner TE - Ohio St

With the draft just a day away I like what I put up but I'm switching Allen to the 2nd and moving Manuel to the 1st

great attitude. for every player who's full of himself and feels entitled to everything without working for it, Troup is a breath of fresh air.

i hope he becomes a monster for us on the line.

troup will be good, nix knows what hes doing, can't expect every rookie to contribute right away.

I bet we will come away with the last class happy with Spiller, Troup, Carrington, Moats, and maybe even batten which showed some promise in training camp.

I hope that the CBA lockout crap doesn't cancel too much of the offseason stuff, would kill development of our sophomores and rookies

I think Batten is going to have a good shot this year. If we pick up an ILB in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th - I wouldn't pencil them in to start over Batten.

Don't forget when Troup was a freshman I think he weighed over 350lbs. So, he has no problem putting on weight.....hopefully it is more muscle than just bulk.
