Are we seriously debating our HEAD COACH having the mentality that he WANTS to WIN EVERY game? REALLY?

Guess everyone prefers their coach to hope to win and be competitive. God help us if we get a coach like Rex who guarantees a super bowl every year

I think we might have a coach like Rex, but everyone is just so hesitant to jump on board because of the futility of the last 11 years.

Still not sold on this season but another solid draft and good offseason and the 12-13 season could be exciting

"If you say, I hope we're just a little bit better than last year, you ought to get out. That's wrong. I expect to win every one of them. I expect to be undefeated."

I don't think anyone has a problem with a coach game planning and giving 100% best effort to win every single week. But his quote is that he expects to go undefeated. Only happened once in the history of the NFL. Its not a credible statement, and personally I think it undermines the point he is trying to make.

If he had said, "If we play our game, there isn't a single team in the NFL we can't beat" it would have made the exact same point without sacrificing the credibility that goes with saying "I expect to go undefeated"

If we are 2-4 after week six, and he says "I expect to go 12-4" even the homers will think he is mental.
2011 - Smart posters warned everyone else, Fitzpatrick was a waste of a year. Now we all know.
2012 - Smart posters warned everyone else another season of Gailey was a waste of a year. Now we all know
2013 - Smart posters are warning everyone else another year of brandon/nix is a waste of a year. Next year we will all know.

that's not even close to what i said when did i say i want the head coach to say were gonna lose or were gonna miss the playoffs?

i said the opposite is it too much to ask for a coach being real and honest and to say yeah i expect allot of improvement and i expect to make the playoffs this year whats wrong with that ?
saying i expect to go undefeated and win every game is not realistic and fake coach speak .

its like saying. i don't expect our defense to allow a TD this year i expect them every game to stop the other team from scoring at all

but i know im the bad guy for asking a coach to be honest ...shame on me

He expects to win every week..thus he never expects to lose. Undefeated is the expectation. He knows, and assumes other people do too, that it isn't probable. We really need Bills football to start..we need something to talk about for real.

Oh yea cause saying you are better then every other team in the league sounds a lot better than saying you expect to win every game...great argument

No, just some of the BBMB members. In general, Bills fans are the GREATEST in the league. Half of the negative nancy's are just trolls, and the other half will take a winning season and you won't hear from them.

It just seems like you have a reading comprehension problem. Expecting to win each game one at time is the goal for 100% of the teams in the NFL. No one says "I expect to lose the next one". What Gailey said is totally unrealistic and not credible "I expect go undefeated". If he was a fan, thats a fine statement. As a professional football coach, it makes him sound silly. Even the coaches of teams like the colts and pats who get out to 11-0 and 12-0 don't say "I expect to go undefeated". They say things like "I don't look past the next one" or "We play them one at a time" or "Our goal is to win the Super Bowl, going undefeated isn't important". Gailey just sounds ridiculous in this story.

Your argument is terrible ESP due to the fact that you said he should have said he thinks his team could beat every team in the nfl
Ridiculously awesome. For actually having confidence in his team to win.

I'm going to have to go back and look at the tape on this one.

I'll always remember how CJ went out with a bang in 2012:

    Gotta be CJ!
