    logo Ryan Fitzpatrick stat

Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 4 TDs week 1 and 3 TDs week 2. The last Bills QB to throw for 3+ TDs in back to back weeks was.... Jim Kelly, Week 5 and 6, 1990. Let's compare those two weeks vs Fitz two weeks.

    Kelly, week 5 and 6, 1990:
    week 5: vs Raiders: 182 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs, 61.9% completion
    week 6: vs Jets: 297 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT, 59.4% completion
    total: 479 yards, 7 TDs, 3 INTs, 60.7% completion, 103.3 QB rating

    Fitzpatrick, week 1 and 2, 2011:
    week 1: @Chiefs: 208 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INTs, 68% completion
    week 2: vs Raiders: 264 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 60.9% completion
    total: 472 yards, 7 TDs, 1 INT, 64.5% completion, 109.6 QB rating

    Interesting comparisson?

It should also be noted that last year, Fitzpatrick had 3 TDs vs the Jags, had a bye week, then threw 4 TDs at Baltimore.

Todd Collins, Doug Flutie, Rob Johnson, Drew Bledsoe, JP Losman, and Trent Edwards could not duplicate this in the last 20 years. Is Fitzpatrick officialy the best QB we have had since Jim Kelly?

The Best QB since Jim Kelly was DOUG FLUTIE. but they didn't keep him

Fitzpatrick is pretty good but I need to see more of him

Good comparison but could somebody compare Fitz's numbers to Sanchez's numbers this year for all the "Fitzs is not better than Sanchez" goofs
    1. Star
    2. Werner(Top rated 4-3 DE)
    3. Floyd
    4. Jockel(Peters coming off 2 achiles)
    5. Ansah(lost both DEs this off season)(could go Milliner)
    6. Fisher (SD/Mia trade)
    7. L. Johnson (Tough cause they can go Dion or lane but they have the worst O-line in the league)
    8. Dion Jordan (If Dion is not there we will trade back)
    9. C. Warmack (Wanna get back to the GROUND AND POUND)(Could go Milliner if Revis is traded)

So in his last 15 starts (Not even a full season)
He has 30 TDs and 16 Ints
    3500 yards
    300 yards rushing
An average of 95.7 QB rating

    That's fantastic
    Freaking fantastic
And even with having no defense last year to give our offense more opportunities

ok, if you want to weight his 2 games this year equally against his 13, sure.

the correct way to weight all games equally is to take the passer rating on his total stats for those 15 games, which are 300/512, 3472 yards, 30 tds and 16 ints. and that's an 85.7.

It's hard when you dont understand it like you. 2010 he played 13. So you times his qb rating by 13. This year you times them by 2. Add the two together and devide by 15.

Math is hard when using the wrong formula. A "c" math student I'm guessing?

He brings a level of excitement, I just want the guy to succeed.

Only good thing about losing is that there aren't many bandwagon fans.

    I was just averaging the
    2010
    And 2011 seasons

Just like I was adding his 13 games last year to his 2 this year
    Not too in depth

But if you want to try to insult me
    Then go right ahead
    Because "Devide" isn't a word
    But "Divide" is

It is clearly, because that is the most ridiculous way of getting his QB rating ever.

well, i have to disagree. it would have been good in 1990. it's a different game now. an 85 rating is below average in today's nfl.

so far this year he's been great. hope he can keep it up.

HAHA, this is really funny. I love that you are totally sure you are backing up your claim with an absolutely ridiculous half arsed math job. Even if it wasn't 2 games vs. 13 and it was 13 v 13, that still isn't how qb rating is compiled at all. It's actually not simple math. Luckily there are plenty of sites you may want to visit that do it for you. But Fitz absolutely has rocked!
If I had to do it all over again, I'd do it all over again -cmp
