Welker is a free agent too. He will want mega cash.

I hope he does, I have him on my fantasy team and will freeze him if he moves to a team with a "real" QB

Do you think any of those guys would want to sign with us? Here is the thing. The problem with letting stevie walk is we actually think that Donald Jones would be able to take his place. Nix said we build through the draft. Well we drafted stevie and he is doing his thing. Lock him up and prove your point Nix. If stevie walks I will make a bold prediction. The Buffalo Bills will never ever make the post season as long as there is an NFL. Reason being it shows that we are not about winning but about maintaining mediocrity.

There is nothing else more the team could do to show the fan base they don't want to win but to let Steve Johnson walk.

I will not support a team that blatenly doesn't care.
This. If Stevie is not on our team next year, I'm no longer a fan.

Johnson is not an elite receiver. Now we do need receiver help, so I would like to have him back, but not at Top 10 WR money, if that's what he thinks he is.

No way we use the franchise tag....if the team wanted to sign Stevie, I believe we would have by now.

Let me ask you an honest question.. What is it your business what tier money he makes??? Have this organization conditioned you that much??? Here' s the reality buddy, whether you like it or not, Stevie gonna get big money!!! Either here or somewhere else?? And you know what, HE SHOULD. Because you know what, that's what REALLY HAPPENS IN THE NFL!!! Guys play... and they get paid!!!! Like i get... the millions on top of millions that these guys make makes you bitter... sorry, you weren't blessed to be able to do what they can do!? Jeez, some people in this fan base act like the money for these guys contracts is coming from out of their personal life savings or something!!! smh

JUST GET THE GUY BACK, OR IM GONE!!!!!!!!!!11

I think Peerless. The last time Nix used the tag I'm pretty sure was LT Mcneil when he was with Chargers.

    Lets check the crystal ball....

The Bills will follow their usual strategy of giving a lowball offer and letting Johnson hit Unrestricted Free Agency. At that point with 31 other teams able to bid on him, he will get an oversized contract. The Bills will then say we liked him, but not at that price (meanwhile leaking rumors that Johnson didn't want to be here, dropped to many balls, the Bills offered more money, he was a bad teammate etc). The Bills will then turn their attention to all the other UFA WR's who will use the Bills as leverage to drive up deals with other teams. The Bills will then sign either an over the hill or up and comer that doesn't pan out replacement and field an even weaker WR corp than this year.
