Dan McGrew

What can some of you "old timers" tell me about Dan McGrew that played center here in the early 60's? I just found out he coached football at the high school I attended in Ohio and thought it would be cool to hear some stories about his short career with Buffalo.

My dad used to tell me about him. He was one of my dad's favorite players....

From what I know about him is that he just played one year with the Bills, and that was in their first year of their and the American Football League's existence-1960. He originally was drafted the year before in the 20th round by the Detroit Lions. He played just the one year, but made the All-AFL Second Team. By 1961 he was replaced by Al Bemiller, who went on to form that great O-line the Bills had through the 1960's with other players like Joe O'Donnell, Dick Hudson, Stew barber and HOFer Billy Shaw.
