Where did you come up with that random number? That would mean that an average of roughly 20 players a team would be FA. I doubt seriously every team in the league could potentially lose 40% of their 53 man roster. No organization worth $5 would not gameplan ahead of time to avoid this.

Google is what allowed the Internet Genius to quote Wikipedia as a reliable source.

While USA Today is by no means Wikipedia, anything posted on the internet should be taken with a grain of salt unless there is actual citations listing where this was taken from.

There is still no statistical possibility that 644 players on 32 teams (644/32=20.13 players per team) are free agents. I'm sure that was misquoted to include players who are not actually on teams (T.O.) or are part of a practice squad as it is statistically impossible for all 32 teams in the league to have almost 40% of their active 53 man roster coming up for FA this year.

Again. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but until I see an actual copy of this NFLPA listing I will go with common sense and statistics first (Please remember that I mention that that number has to actually include people on practice squads and those not on a team currently).

I love how you are STILL arguing a point that is not up for question. I never once said I wouldn't believe that there are that many FA. Just that I couldn't figure out HOW there were that many (I even offered a way that it was possible) and that I wouldn't believe it without a verifiable source.
