I can run with the Buffalo Soldiers - love me some Uncle Bob.

Alas, it means curtains for the following:

    Super Mario and the Goombas.

Well after the civil war Native Americans nicknamed Black Regiments "Buffalo Soldiers" but it started in the Civil War with the first regiments formed(something like that) sidenote ... Watch the movie "Glory", really good movie.

Only good thing about losing is that there aren't many bandwagon fans.

    FYI...

the term "Buffalo Soldier" comes from black troops from the regular army after the Civil War.

The original Buffalo Soldiers were the 10th US Calvary who fought the Cheyennes and Comanches in the 1860s and 1870s. There are a number of theories as to how they got their name, but all recognize that it was the Indians who named their adversaries. Following the Indian Wars, Buffalo Soldiers came to mean any African-American who was enlisted in the regular army.

Buffalo Soldiers? Hey, if Mario suggests it, I'd be willing to listen...

On a different note, it's nice to see Mario already taking Bills and Buffalo pride to heart.

You have to like the guy already taking pride in his new home. The guy is interacting with fans and is taking pride in his team.

Whatever Mario wants to call the line I am on bored. Can not wait until Nike releases his jersey.

another name because Kyle MAY BE the ONLY white starting defender, lol!

That name Buffalo soldiers is special, personal to many including myself ( I am African American AND a small percentage of Native American like most African Americans are) and I commend Mario for trying to show respect by taking that name into battle on Sundays and earning recognition for it.

I don't get TSunami D. We dont get those around here. If you want to go with weather something like Lake Effect Sack Storm would be more appropriate IMO.

Kyle Williams is going to be a Buffalo Soldier, huh? Guess this makes him like the Kevin Costner of the group.

It was in fact a protest song by Marley about black men (the Soldiers he refers to were mostly slaves) being used to fight US causes in a country that oppresses them.
People will pay a lot to be entertained.
