    Default Bell

Nothing major but Bell is expected to make up his mind by the end of the week. He was supposed to meet with GB, I'm not sure if he has yet or not but I was told it's expected he'll make a decision before the week is up. Was told the only three teams right now he'll choose from is Buffalo, Washington and GB. It's possible another team jumps into the mix but as of right now it's those three.

Hmm interesting. I'm assuming Washington isn't offering much, since they took a huge cut from their cap this year. I think the odds are in Buffalo's favor seeing as he would at least have a starting job, or at least have a better shot. Can't use the location excuse seeing as Green Bay is about the size of my living room. If this is true, I'm optimistic Bell will resign with the Bills.

It would be nice to see it just be over with so the Bills can move on one way or another with their draft prep. I think wherever he goes it will be just a one year deal.

That's what I'm assuming, it makes it a good deal for both.

Wash and GB want him as a swing tackle. Buffalo might too!! My suggestion to him is go to Buffalo, get healthy and more powerful.

I think all it does is guarantee we don't take an OT at 10. I'm not sure who the Bills would take between Floyd, Kirkpatrick and Keuchley.

I think if we do manage to trade down OT does become a consideration in the first round still.

And, as always, thanks for the update Baldat28

Updat on Bell, his market is not what he was hoping for and am now hearing he may wait until after the draft to make up his mind. He was expected to make up his mind by the end of the week but the contract numbers he was hoping for haven't come in, in fact there far lower trepan what he thought he'd get.

I heard it's likely he and his agent through it out there that he expected to sign by the end of the week trying to get a desperate team to make a better offer, that hasn't worked. So its possible now he does sign by the end of the week but it would be a bit surprising as he and his agent feel he'll get better offers after the draft, I find it hard to believe he'd wait that long, though.

Well thats just stupid. If anything he needs to find a team before the draft. You think the market is dry now? after the draft it will be the Sahara Desert.

Quiet the solid one too, teams can do a whole lot worse than Mr. Bell.

Except Buffalo, where he would have his best chance at starting... could be his only chance.

Although i believe that in GB, he would be pretty much guaranteed to start the year because there are doubts that Sherrod will be healthy... and he struggled last year as well.

This to me just screams 1 year deal... if he stays healthy, and starts the whole year, his market next year would be much larger.

Take a one year deal with the Bills where he has a starting opportunity (even likelihood). Have a monster year and more importantly a healthy one. Get what he was hoping for this year--next year.

He will be an Eagle, well payed and starting. Part of me thinks we should have snagged him when the market was bad for him. Perhaps Nix knows something we don't or maybe it's just what we already know.
