He was making plays all over the field at the end of the year. I was like, who's that 350lb linebacker?

This is a very very tough poll because I expect pro bowl numbers from Kyle and Marcel but I expect 7 sacks from Kyle.
Kyle will have the best season of his career to date BECAUSE of Marcel yet Marcel could wreak havoc and have 10 sacks,4 forced fumbles and 2 ints BECAUSE of Kyle.

All I am sure of is it is a win win for Buffalo!

    those are very specific numbers?

also, why isn't Kyle getting any ff's, and int's?

Marcel will EXPLODE this year. He had virtually no off-season last year and still performed very well for a rookie. A year under his belt with a full off-season and people taking away blockers. Watch out!

you guys have to remember kyle was playing in a 3-4. He is better in a 4-3 and was injured with no talent next to him. Someone wrote kyle struggled against the run. They run away from him and he was double teamed.

Why I thought it would be closer than it is

There are 3 steps to "Building Through the Draft"
    1. Draft
    2. Develop
    3. Retain

If we don't re-sign Byrd then we are not "Buildin Through the Draft"

I think this year Dareus is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Looking at what this kid did his rookie season, I'm speechless. When the chips were down, Dareus stood up and became the leader of the defense. How often do you see a rookie do that? Sure if some one like Byrd, or even Barnett did it would make sense, but these guys looked to Dareus to lead them, they obviously have immense respect for him. I wouldn't be surprised if Dareus steals the spot light from Mario Williams. I calling for a Pro Bowl year for Dareus, and he will be a superstar by the end of the season.

For the teams sake, I hope it's Dareus. He's the number 3 pick and should be dominant this year. I love Kyle Williams and he will be a great compliment to Dareus and Williams.

Its an interesting question, We know for sure both players will dominate unless double teamed. Personally I double team Darius first so I assume Kyle Williams will draw single coverage. Its a crap shoot but I would guess Kyle Willaims will have a bigger year but I certainly would not exclude Marcell Darius.

I think Dareus will have the better year and Kyle will have the better stats. At least I think Kyle will have more sacks, but Marcell is still going to be double-teamed all day long.

In 2010, KW was a monster, PFF had him rated as the 3rd best FOOTBALL player in the league, behind Rodgers and Justin Smith. Think about that for just a minute. And just how bad the rest of that defense was.

I like Dareus alot but he's the first to admit how much KW knows about the game. Dareus is the casual football fan's response. Healthy and playing beside Dareus and real DEs, KW should have a monster year. Makes me smile just thinking about it. I think Dareus will have a great year as well but KW has already shown what he can do with no help whatsoever. DTs are not supposed to do what he has already shown he can do.
Kyle Williams: “But when you go inside those lines, all those things fall by the wayside. If you’re not out there for the right reasons, and that’s to beat a man, win a football game, you’re not going to last very long. This game is whip or be whipped, and I don’t like being whipped.”"

I think Marcell will have a bigger impact overall. Coming into his second year, being more comfortable in the defense, and he just has better tools naturally to work with than Kyle. However, this is a tough question. If Kyle is completely healthy, watchout.

This was a good, tough question but I ended up saying Dareus. I really think that as good as this group of individuals is, the whole will be even better. At least 3 do warrant double teams but that won't be easy for any team. That could open the door for some major havoc for Barnett and Co. It creates a compelling argument for Kuechly or Kirkpatrick to create some misery for defensive coordinators..

This will be fun to watch.

Can't wait to see this defensive line in action next year. Dareus is going to be utterly fantastic. Surprised to see Dwan Edwards still around...Buddyball has to be thinking of cutting him loose...
