    uh....

Silencers are legal in Texas but not in New York, where Williams will spend much of the year after signing a six-year free-agent deal potentially worth $100 million with the Buffalo Bills in March. Williams said on Twitter today that he was in Houston.

To be honest, I'm surprised silencers are legal anywhere in the US.

Unless you're doing something illegal, I don't understand the point of having one.

While I completely agree, I think it's even more messed up that Mario is able to own one of these (which he does)...

That's because people watch too many movies and don't know what a real suppressor sounds like. They are not whisper quiet. They allow you to shoot without hearing protection and can enhance accuracy. You can't "gangsta" shoot a MAC M-10 one handed and keep it on target either. Yes I own suppressors, machine guns (including belt feds), short bbl shotguns and a grenade launcher. One of the reasons I'll never move back to NY is the gun laws (and the taxes ) I just enjoy shooting, and clay pigeons do nothing for me. But that's just my opinion.

(The 2nd Amendment doesn't mention anything about hunting or sport shooting)
Gun laws only apply to law abiding citizens!

I know you are talking about silencers, but I'll respond as though you are talking about guns in general (handguns).

They are fun to shoot at targets and keep in case of an emergency (break in). Hunters also carry them for a back-up weapon at close range.

Are you a gun owner? If you were, you may understand more. I would love to have a handgun, but have several rifles/shotguns. Even though I don't use them regularly, it's fun to take them out and shoot them at targets once in a while. Ever shoot at a watermelon or jug of water? Fun stuff. It also gives me peace of mind when my family is sleeping safe at night.

Silencers... only good when the zombies attack so they can't tell where you are shooting from...

WOW! This organization finally woke from it's slumber!

Tis not the deed that confounds us, but the desire.

maybe the guy that collects sports car is running an underground racing ring on the black market too. Really, who cares most of these guys are collectors anyway. I own three guns and know a guy that has a 24 karat gold desert eagle 50cal..so what

Because it is a gun you people don't understand but if it was classic cars you would understand? Get your logic checked a collector is a collector no matter what the type.

As long as he does it legally, and it makes him happy, I could care less how many guns he has, as long as he maintains the ones he uses on the field.

I am very Pro 2nd amendment and I have a carry/conceal permit here in TN. I absolutely have zero fear about guns legally owned as the gunowners I know are extremely safe and conscientious of others. It's the ahole criminals who would use them whether they are legal or not that scare me. Here in Nashville home invasions seem to be the crime dujour, but a couple of recent ones ended badly for the criminals as they kicke in the wrong door. There was one where an 80 year old woman killed an intruder bereaking in..and I bet he wasn't there to have a cup of tea with her!

Oh, and if owning guns makes Mario happy and a happy Mario sacks QB's, lets buy him more!
