How does someone guarantee a pick when there are 40 more in front of it?

Seems like it would be a massive reach. Not really Nix style.

Cause this is like the Torrell Troup pick. No one is drafting Ron Brocks in the Top 50 except Buffalo.....

    Who is Scott Bischoff?
CB S.Gilmore will be a Buffalo Bill come draft day 2012. Mark it down 4-15-12(even though I've been saying for over a month now)

“As an outside backer in a 3-4 you want a guy 6’4” or 6’5” 255 or 260. In a 4-3 those guys are defensive ends."-Buddy Nix (For some reason people have a real tough time understanding this on this Bills Board, Along with the fact that a DE in a 3-4 is a DT in a 4-3)

Not really true. He's an under the radar type guy that could go somewhere in the late 2nd, the Bills may not want to risk him not being there in the 3rd. However, if the a Bills take a CB in RD 1 I doubt they double up in the next RD. I have heard they like him but more so in the 4th RD, I won't be shocked if he's picked by us in the 2nd but I will be slightly surprised.

Now with that being said, I don't know this guy and therefore I don't trust him. Can't really trust a guy that writes for bleacher report.
I've been to the top, there's not a lot of oxygen there, so I'm fine where I'm at.

seriously id rather have Menzie in the 4th than Brooks in the 2nd jesus the kid didnt even start the past 2 yrs he was their nickel CB and filled in for injuries, granted i get he played behind Peterson, Claiborne and the Honey Badger but wow at pick 41 there are guys who are rated in the top 30 available

He doesn't fit the Nix draft formula. Undersized, with very few starts. At least he played in the SEC though

Obviously that implies the Bills won't draft Gilmore or Kirkpatrick, and plan to target another position.

Which means the Bills are drafting Mark Barron at 10?

This total reminds me of how Buddy drafted CJ Spiller as his 1st round impact player THEN started drafting for needs in round 2, i.e. Nose Tackle = Troup and then 3-4 DE = Carrington.

Which were the two biggest needs since we were switching to a 3-4.

Then he went the next need, WR, in the 4th round.

    A 2nd?

Although I like him that would be crazy to take him that early.

I was hoping to grab him in the 3rd-4th.

Unlike Menzie, Brooks can actually run.

He's an experience slot guy with 4.37 speed and knows how to blitz and defend the run.

With 4.74 speed, Menzie will only be looked at by zone coverage teams. He's extremely slow and probably will get drafted a lot later than people are expecting.

I HIGHLY doubt it. He isn't even close to a 2nd rounder and Nix has expressed wanting big physical cornerbacks. That's not Ron Brooks.
