    10. Buffalo Bills -- Alabama S Mark Barron

Buffalo has solid starting safeties in Jairus Byrd and George Wilson, but they're going to have to play three-safety sets in order to combat Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, and knock off the Pats. Gronk posted lines of 7-109-2 and 8-108-2 in New England's two matchups with Buffalo last season. Hernandez missed the first with a knee injury, but had 7-138-1 in the second. The Bills must arm themselves with the necessary defense mechanisms to take the AFC East division.

I think Buffalo is targeting Barron or Gilmore. I'd welcome either.

I'd be happy if that's the pick.

I don't get the Gilmore buzz. a workout hero who has yet to show how that translates on the field.

He couldn't do it at the NCAA level with any consistency so I find it hard to believe he will become even close to a shutdown corner in the NFL.

He's big and physical so in our system he'd be perfect for the press. I actually think he'd be better for us then teams wanting to make him a man cover corner.

Wait a minute. Barron is an elite SS in the box and so so in coverage. Why would we draft Barron to cover TEs when that is what he struggles with the most? That doesn't make any sense. If you were to say that they are drafting him to play in the box and stop the run then that would make sense but coverage is definitely not his specialty.

Who said he's so soo in coverage? Bills scouts say he could cover a receiver if he had to.

We've got the perfect weapon for Gronk and Nandez - his name is Mario.
FAs added: Manny Lawson LB, Kevin Kolb QB, Andre Branch DT.

    1. Geno Smith, QB, WVU
    2. Deandre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
    3. Kevin Minter, LB, LSU
    4. Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati
    5. Hugh Thornton, OG, Illinois
    6. Vince Williams, ILB, Flo. St.

You don't need to worry about covering those guys as long anymore with the Dline we have now. I think we can do just fine even if we don't take any of these guys. Grab some depth in the later rounds to develop which is what Buddy wants, and grab Floyd at 10 to throw into the mix and let SJ13, Fitz, and Chan drool at the possibilities. Ohh yea and make out RB's happy b/c Floyd is also a great run blocker for CJ when he runs around the edge. I cannot wait for this F***ing draft!!!

Bill Polian. You know, the guy who was fired for poor drafting in Indy.

So if they play a 3 step drop and we can't cover Mario will magically get there in 2 seconds?

Still don't see him as a top 10 pick. I don't see how he can be close to the BPA with only 9 picks off the board. Sounds more like a wishful reach at #10.

Maybe, but who would be rated higher?

He could very well end up being the best DB in this draft class. He doesn't lack in any particular area. Gilmore possesses all of the quality traits you'd want in a corner and he's #8 on Mayock's Big Board.

Mayock has him rated 7th overall in the draft and there has been speculation that many teams have him as high as 6th on their boards. But at the end of the day, all that really matters is where WE have him rated. I hate the perception that a player is a reach just because Mel Kiper or McShay says so.
Doug Marrone "We have the ability to affect a region, by putting a productive, winning football team out there. That’s our higher calling. If you’re not buying into that then you don’t need to be here. You can go play for some other team. We don’t want those kinds of players on our football team."

I have no idea what any of these guys said about him, good or bad, he is very inconsistent in actual games and is not a man coverage guy. In my mind that makes him not a top 10 pick.
