Default I haven't been this excited since 2002.

I'm pretty sure the last time I was as excited as I am right now about the Buffalo Bills was '02 going into our first season with Bledsoe at the helm. I can feel the adrenaline starting to flow and it's only Aug 6th. How about you guys? When was the last time you felt as confident about this team as you do right now?

Only moved to the toronto area from portugal about 5 years ago, saw a nfl game once at a local bar, fell in love with it. since i only had cable back then the bills games were the only ones on, but fell in love with the bills. I know im quite young (21) and cant appreciate the positive atmosphere like the older posters can. but its great that postive things are happening to this team, one day the games of last season and this season coming up will be memories for me.

And there are legitiment reasons why. Even though we are all excited about the season, we can't ignore some of the realities of this team. Gailey and Fitzpatrick are the two biggest question marks on this team.

I agree with this. I like Gailey and Fitz but this is the Do-or-Die season for them, IMHO. They need to be at least .500 or better.

You're spot on Florida and I agree with you. Fitz & Gailey are on the hot seat for sure. I just loved how 123 dropped it in th first post in the thread.

Jesus H Christ your about as bright as they come aren't you? Every post, every thread, no matter what the topic you have to chime in about the QB situation and Fitz. There is no situation, he's the starter. Get over it.

When I got to this board I didnt realize what everyone else had against billsfan123. Now I see it. You dont like Fitz....we get it. And we are tired of seeing it.

I bet you liked him last year in the first 5 games didnt you? And you'll probably like him again if he produces this year.

Not since 2001 has this team had the solid depth and optimisim we can see in the locker-room today.

If we had a backup QB I would be happier.

If we can't get the 49ers to trade our 8 for their 31,34 and 61 then we draft:

    1. Lane JOHNSON (OT)
    2. Ryan NASSIB (QB) - trade up if we have to but get our QB!
    3. Brian SCHWENKE (C)
    4. Matt SCOTT (QB)
    5. AJ KLEIN (ILB)
    6. Ray Ray ARMSTRONG (SS)

Even thought I think thsi is the best team we've had on paper in 10 years, I still have some serious doubts, particuarly with our head coach and quarterback. For me, those are the two determining factors in if we make a push for the playoffs or not.

Gailey hasn't shown us the ability to have this team ready every week, his play calling is extremely questionable at times, he is a horrible talent evaluator and he seems to thnk that this offense should be ran through Fitzpatrick and not Fred and Spiller. I just don't know if he is the guy that can finally get this team over the hump.

Seriously this is getting ridiculous. EVERY positive thread i read about the bills has you somewhere on the first page spewing the SAME thing. At least this time you broke out of your cookie cutter message and went into a little detail.

Simple and short, what your saying is opinion. Its even based in a bit of reality....but you don't need to be a downer on EVERY FREAKING POSITIVE THREAD.

I agree that neither Gailey or Nix have put together a winning season but the honest truth is I don't think either of them has really been given a chance to do so. This year there really arent any excuses. We have a great team on paper...yes even fitz (another discussion for another time).....and barring our entire starting lineup going on IR i dont see what kind of excuses can be made for another losing year.

Now please stop posting negative comments on every positive thread you see....its just getting old.
I've never been more personally happy with the FO and the job they are doing. Signing on solid contributers / burning away the chaff.

Good luck FO and GO BILLS!!!!

it can go both ways chief. one may be growing just as tired of the many, many so called positive threads. this is a board for "all" to post their feelings regardless of whether they be positive or negative. it's really funny, when those like you try and tell people to stop. it's "freedom of speech".
suggestion. you post what you want to, others post what they want to. the posts you find negative or getting old, overlook and bypass rather than "try" and tell a member what they should or shouldn't post.

you will never stop nor have the ability to stop the negative no more than those that grow tired of the constant, sometimes unrealistic positive can stop it from being posted.

trying to achieve either is like beating a dead horse, it's not going to die anymore than it already has by continuing to beat it..

Your right, we are all guilty of it. Sometimes its just either to hard not to, or to funny not to reply
