Default How about worst QB ever?

We have a poll for the best Bills QB ever, which to me begs the question of who the worst ever was. I'll list some candidates (and I'm sure there's a lot I'm missing):

    Johnny Green
    Warren Rabb
    Dan Darraugh
    James Harris
    Gary Marangi
    Bruce Matheson
    Joe Dufek
    Vince Ferragamo
    Rob Johnson
    JP Losman
    Trent Edwards
    Gale Gilbert

For me it was James Harris. An absolute gun for an arm but had absolutely noclue how to play QB.

I think I should feel fortunate to actually know only three of these players.

James Harris was actually pretty good, he doesn't belong on this list.

Billy Joe Hobert. The only Bills QB to admit to not preparing for a game.

You and I can at least remember him. Maybe I'm being too tough on him, but he did flame out pretty quick. I guess he's not worse than Dufek or Matheson was.

That's your choice fine, but I will tell you there's no way he is worse than guys like Dufek and Harris and a host of others were.

Belongs nowhere near the discussion of worst. Literally nowhere.

I was going to ask the same ? but I guess it's a bias poll or the OP feels he since his career hasn't ended "yet" he doesn't make the list.

since that's the case and I'm willing to give him this year, which should be his last if no signs of improvement, then I would of gone with RJ as I can't get that image of him running around with his shoe off and sock dangling from his foot but, I have to go with JP Losman. I then thought I would do some research and lo-and-behold who do you think made the top 50 worst in the nfl..

    16. JP Losman
    Years: 2004-2010
Team(s): Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks
    Drafted: 1st round, 22nd overall (2004)
    Career Games Started: 33

Sometimes you have to look at how these quarterbacks played in college and wonder what exactly NFL general managers are thinking. Granted, Losman passed for a ton of yards at Tulane, but we're guessing Justin Bieber might be able to put up some gaudy numbers playing against Rice. Losman was injured for most of his 2004 rookie season in Buffalo with a broken leg, and was benched during the 5th game the next year. He had a decent campaign in 2006, so of course the Bills drafted another crappy QB (Trent Edwards) to back him up. Edwards would replace the injured Losman the next season and keep the job; Losman would eventually land in—you guessed it—Oakland.

Vince and Mathison were abysmal in 85 so they get my vote.

I don't remember Harris playing for us but when he was with the Rams he was the guy people used to justify the opinion that black guys can't play QB. Supposedly black guys didn't have the composure to be successful and people pointed to how antsy Harris was in the pocket. Wasn't fair to put that on one guy but that's how it was.

I am saying JP Losman and its really close between him and Rob Johnson but the thought of Losman always being in the fetal position has bad memories.

Billy Joe Hobert in 1997. Admitted he didn't know the playbook. That level of simply not caring makes him the worst QB to ever put on a Bills uniform.

While Johnson and Losman were both terrible. Johnson has a much better team around him. If that counts for anything I would rank Losman a tad above Johnson.

Billy Joe Hobert, but he was a back up, so I have to choose Trent Edwards. The biggest chicken **** of a player I have ever seen. Made me not want to watch the Bills with him there. I got pure joy when he was with the Jags and I flipped onto ESPN to see him throw a pick 6 for on one of his first few throws.
Trent Edwards career summed up on 1 play

    Against the Saints on 9-27-09

It was in the 4th quarter and we are trailing 20 to 7 with 2:26 left in the game. It was a 4th and 23 ball on our 14th yard line. The game is on the line and Trent checks down to Jackson coming out of the backfield 4 yards behind the line of scrimmage. The game is on the line and he throws a check down on 4th and 23???!!!!!!! This sums him up in one play.

You bring up so many bad memories on that list. While Johnson, JP and TE were bad they are not the worst on that list. IMO Darraugh.

That one year with Alex Vanpelt was pretty bad.
