Nick fairley popped for DUI

Fairley has been charged twice in 3 months. I remember being a fan of his, but wanted Cam Newton over Fairley. Neve wanted Dareus because they made it slid that he was going #1 overall till days before the draft. Still can't believe they lucked out somehow to get him.

Also remember how much sulking Fairley did when he did get drafted. Way to show excitement for the Lions fans by coming out pouting. Kids a loser.

Where are all those Bills fans that wanted to draft Fairley 3rd overall last year. You are no longer allowed to have an opinion when it comes draft time. Go sit in a rubber room with all those fans that wanted Aaron Maybin.

Honestly after the BCS game everyone thought Fairley could go #1 overall. I still have all my draft books and the mocks were all Fairley #1. As the offseason went on and on though people's opinions started to change. That's why the draft and football is so fun. The game is great but the whole draft process and watching how careers either blossom or bust are like no other. I love hockey but they draft 18 year old kids so the bust factor is huge and you never know what you've got, same thing with baseball.

That pic was from the comeback game against the Raiders a couple years ago. There where 73,000+ fans chanting him name in sync after that win. Sad his career went down hill 3 games later after taking that big hit against Arizona.
The Raiders game is also the game my favorite Buffalo Bills player Bruce Smith's name any up on the wall.

You guys keep talking like Dareus is better than Fairley because of character. Dareus is better because he is better. The only reason why I didn't have Dareus on the radar as much as Miller is because Denver had cut there top two DTs so I expected them to jump at him. If they took him at 2, I would have been happy but Fairely wasn't in play... Dareus is not just the best person but he is the best football player.

I'm more concerned with what he does on the football field rather than what he does in his free time in May. I think it's insulting to Dareus to say THIS is the reason why Dareus is better. Dareus is a better DT because he is a better DT. Not because he drives the speed limit. Fairley was the 13th freaking pick anyways. We probly weren't even looking at him at #3.
