i think it rides on another receiver stepping up. Whether it be a TE or WR if fitz's only targets are stevie and freddie on screens it would be hard to imagine him being top 10.

I wrote it before in a thread months ago but I'll write it again...
How Fitz can become a Top 10 Quarterback in 2012:
1. Improvement from the defense
2. Improvement from the wide receiver unit
3. Deep Ball that will result in spreading out the opposing defense's back 7
4. Coaching / Playcalling as a result of improved Offensive Line play
5. Better pocket presence - better decisions in the heat of the moment
1 - Not related to Lee
2 - Not related to Lee
3 - Lee can help with this
4 - Not related to Lee
5 - Not sure this has to do with mechanics
So Lee could help Fitz throw a better deep ball and be slightly more accurate on other throws.
But the vast majority of factors leading to Fitz's potential improvement in 2012 has absolutely nothing to do with Lee.
Personally I'm thinking around 15ish. Not great, not terrible. He's an average QB he will be within 2 of 15 IMO so I guess my range is 13-17, so I voted for the second option. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up top 10 he has shown that he has the ability to do that depending on the circomstances......but that's not what this thread is about.

Yikes - y'all know how I hate anything to do with the over-rated Penn State and their over-rated brethren of the Big 10 but I have to agree with this Ninny Lion.
The first number that popped into my head was 12 - he is an above average QB. With solid mechanics and a little help from the receiving group I think he can reach top 10.

2013 Draft
1st) Keenan Allen WR - Cal
2nd) EJ Manuel QB - FSU
3rd) Chase Thomas OLB - Stanford
4th) Darius Slay CB - Miss St
5th) Matt Scott QB - Arizona
6th) Jake Stoneburner TE - Ohio St
With the draft just a day away I like what I put up but I'm switching Allen to the 2nd and moving Manuel to the 1st
Fitzpatrick is not definitively better than:
1) Brady
2) Sanchez
3) Roethlisberger
4) Flacco
5) Dalton
6) Luck
7) Schaub
8) Rivers
9) Manning
10) Manning
11) Vick
12) Romo
13) RGIII
14) Rodgers
15) Stafford
16) Cutler
17) Brees
18) Newton
19) Ryan
20) Freeman
- And before you flip out, I just went by division, not who I think is the best.
He is in that mid to low grouping:
Dalton, Freeman, Sanchez, Bradford - something like that.
Kolb, Flynn, Ponder, Alex Smith, Palmer, Cassel, Weeden, Matt Moore, Gabbert, Locker - you might make the case he is better than.
Bills fans are truly optimists (this is a good thing). Fitzpatrick has never cracked the top 20 in his career. But almost 90% of responders believe he will break the top 20 this year. Nearly 25% think he will be top 10. There is no doubt he will be the starting QB week 1, I hope the nearly 25% of people are correct. If Fitz hits top 10, the playoffs are a lock.
2011 - Smart posters warned everyone else, Fitzpatrick was a waste of a year. Now we all know.
2012 - Smart posters warned everyone else another season of Gailey was a waste of a year. Now we all know
2013 - Smart posters are warning everyone else another year of brandon/nix is a waste of a year. Next year we will all know.
I guarantee he will be in the top 32!!
