Dorin has an interesting situation. Don't really understand what they want to do with him. Make him a TE...No. Make him a WR...NO. Make him a RB...No. So pretty much he is a guy that will line up as a RB and only catch passes from back there. Did I get that correct??

I think we talked about this before concerning Winslow. The Bills dont have slot TE, and thats where they will line him up. Would be a huge help to the offense if he can give us something there, help create mismatches.

2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Dorin Dickerson, FB, Pittsburgh
Dorin Dickerson was a versatile athlete coming out of high school and was exactly the same during his time at Pittsburgh. As a freshman in 2006 he saw most of his time at wide receiver and on special teams. The following year he was a linebacker. Finally, as an upperclassman, he found his spot at the tight end position. In that first season at tight end he only started two games, but he did make 13 catches for 174 yards and two scores. That success paved the way for an amazing senior season that put Dickerson on the map and the NFL radar. During his senior campaign he ranked second on the team with 49 receptions for 529 yards. He also proved to be a superb target in the red zone and caught a team high ten touchdown passes. Dickerson is a vertical threat tight end. Pitt had Nate Byham to worry about the blocking and Byham is one of the best blocking tight ends in this class, so Dickerson rarely had to worry about it. Dickerson is a decent blocker down field, but at 6-2 and 230 pounds, that is not the case at the line of scrimmage. Yet, if an NFL team is looking for somebody who can stretch the field, Dickerson is the fastest and most athletic and agile tight end in this class. However, he is undersized for a traditional tight end and how he will exactly fit into a team's offensive scheme remains to be seen. Those uncertainties will drop him down to the third or fourth round, but Dickerson can be a great playmaker whether he lines up in the backfield or on the line of scrimmage. It will just take some time before he develops into a capable blocker.

Strengths: Dickerson is a versatile athlete that could be a real weapon if properly used. He can line up at tight end and wide receiver and projects well as an H-back. Shows good hands to make tough catches away from his body. Has enough speed to get separation in the open field. Moves fairly well laterally.

Weaknesses: For as many positions as Dickerson may have, he may have none. He's not fast or agile enough to be a wide receiver. He's not tall or strong enough to be a tight end. He's a little too unproven to be a true H-back. Dickerson is never going to get taller, so he'll have to add strength. Seems like a project player.

Final word: Dickerson will need to be drafted to the right team to make it in the NFL. He's packed with potential, but it may be hard to tap into. His hands are good and he has solid athleticism. But where he falters is in his lack of size and strength. He'll have to make his name as a pass catcher and helping on special teams.
