throwback Name one all-time Bill who would make this team an instant Super Bowl contender

Out of all the coaches, front office, and players that have wore the blue, white, and red, what one person do you feel would instantly make this team a Lambardi Trophy contender.

Jimbo. Great QB, tough, a great leader.

Jim Kelly. Besides the assist the he got from Frank Reich in the Greatest Comeback in NFL History, Jim willed us to the last 3 Super Bowls. He demanded excellence, respect and wanted to be the best and that's what you need from the QB position.

There is no one player.\ that would make this team a Super Bowl contender.

There are to many holes to fill.

Kelly would make this a playoff contender.

The OP just wants people to name the QB.

No, that's not the point of this post. A lot of people think this team is a playoff team. All Im asking is for a person that would put this team over.
It could be Bruce smith, bill polian, Marv, Saban, reed, etc
A former bill in their prime.

One person doesn't put a team over the edge.

LOL. Tell that to the Colts last year. The answer is obviously Kelly although I could make a case for Andre Reed.

One player in his PRIME? I'm sorry, I'd have to pick O. J.

Completely wrong answer in every way. The answer is Jim Kelly. We are MUCH better off with two great backs and a HOF QB than two great backs, a HOF back, and a mediocre QB.

    Go ahead, convince me otherwise.

You classify the two current backs as great. That's behind the line they have now. Not a great line right? Yet Jackson looked pretty darn good before the injury. Now how well would O. J. look behind the same line? How well is Kelly behind this line? With these receivers? I don't really have a measuring stick on that. Do you? That, along with other things, is why I'd pick O.J. It's my opinion. I don't really need to convince anyone.

Nothing to be sorry about. People also forget how good he was catching the football.

Run him or Thurman 25-30 times in SB 25 and it doesn't come down to the FG.

People tend to forget that for as good of a coach as Levy was, his coaching in SB25 was worse than Mike Martz against the Pats.
    ADOPT A BILL:
Cordy Glenn - let him play left tackle people. Geesh!

My expectations for our new coach are simple.
    1. Have the ability to locate decent stop gap players that are better players than the last ones who were on this roster for far too long.
    2. Win as many games as you can, but when you lose ... get beat, don't follow in the steps of your predecessors who seemed to try and find new and inventive ways to loose winnable games.
