Many of those other measures of optimism (for example, we're fairly likely to win two or three games more than we did last year) are a lot more likely to come true.
Hopefully the players have higher expectations!

Higher expectations? Geez, I hope not.

Higher goals? Yeah, that'd be great.

As long as they're aware - and they are - that so far they've shown nothing, and that they have everything to prove, I'd be thrilled if they had higher goals. Hope and expect them to think one game at a time, though.

One way's out on the street, the other probably gets 6:1. But we both know he's not going to take that risk.

Because one team has Goldie Locks and the Hoody and the other team has Fitz and Chan??? Was this a trick question. For the record I like Fitz and Chan but the two most important positions for a football club is the HC and QB and Brady and Belichick have been the best at those spots for the past decade. Let's be honest.

This is just my expectations. I hope that Gailey, Fitz and the Bills feel totalllllllllllllllly different than how I feel.

well the Bills are shooting for the AFC East; gotta love that. I'm hoping for a wild card.
side note: as much as i love the Jets imploding i was hoping that the final game against the Jets would come down to a wild card spot, just to maybe get that Sunday night primetime spot.

I don't care what's happened before 2012. We're all 0-0 now and tied for 1st place. I concede nothing. Stop being so afraid to think positive. It costs you nothing. If we win it's just gravy, baby. If we lose, so what? It's just a game. Go Bills!!!

It's not being afraid to think positive it's just reality.

Some people have a grip on it, others don't.

Do I think the Bills are going to go to the playoffs this year? Yep.

Do I think the Bills are going to over take New England for the AFCE crown? Nope.

New England has won 10+ games 10 out of the past 11 seasons with Brady at QB, don't kid yourself. History matters.

It costs plenty. First of all, people would think I was a bit clueless. And they'd be right. Second, I'd almost certainly suffer a massive disappointment when the Bills turned out to be not nearly as good as I thought they would.

Whereas if I'm realistic, I'm much more likely to be right, and if the Bills do pull off a miracle, I'll have a very pleasant surprise.
