Default I dont have a problem with what I saw last night.

I wasnt happy, but I wasnt mad either.

Zero runs with the starters. Only two plays was there a starting RB in the backfield and it was on shotgun formation.

Fitz went out there and tried to dink and dunk up a rhythm, didnt happen. I always thought this team gets sparks in the passing game through the run.

Glenn wasnt as bad as you guys thought. Id like to see him on run block some more. Hes a little slow on the break in pass pro, but thats coachable.

The defensive line looked pretty good out there. We blitzed maybe once with the starters. I didnt like how far back gilmore was lined up. I think with a defensive line like this, adding blitzers and playing the corners up a bit would give QBs a tough time. But i wouldnt be doing that during preseason and give away our blitzes.

    Aaron Williams, has to improve.

Vince young....He just cant throw the ball...at all. I didnt really expect much from him anyways. Id rather he be on the team than thigpen at 2. At lease VY can do something positive every now and then with his legs.

    I do.

14 passes to zero runs by the starting offense is completely unacceptable.

If this offense wants to consistently move the ball this year, they're going to have to give Jackson and Spiller the ball a ton. What I saw last night was NOT what we should be doing.

I know that this is only preseason week one, but Gailey's offenses have a history of neglecting the run. If that crap continues again next week, I'm going to be very concerned.

Defense looked good. Merriman was playing like a man possessed. Moats was showing all night why he's starting over Morrison. And Ron Brooks will make a case to start along side Gilmore if he continues to play at the level he was playing last night.

The offense was putrid in terms of execution, but I can only hope Chan's play calling looks more like it did with Thiggy in the game this year. I shat myself when we ran that play action and Thiggy hit TJ 20 something yards down field. I screamed for those types of plays all last year. Someone has to sit Chan down and explain to him that Fitz isn't Brady. Time to run the ball and let him manage the game like he should. Because with CJ and Fred back there, that play action would be lethal.

I was not happy with anything I saw from the starting offense last night either but it was pretty evident the 14 straight passes was planned on Gailey's part. I'm sure with Glenn and Hairston starting at tackles they wanted to test them early and get them some work in pass protection. I would not be surprised one bit to see our next preseason game be nothing but run plays.

Chan uses preseason the way I feel it is supposed to be used: for finding out what works with his players. In his press conference after the game, he stated that the pass plays were planned because he was watching to see how his players acted and reacted. He also stated that he would have to work on discipline having seen way too many penalties. And Fitz said the no huddle was to see how the offense handled it. Remember last year's preseason? Most of the games were as ugly as this one, yet we still began the year 5-1. There is no (or very little) game planning in most of the preaseason efforts, which makes a lot of difference. If our number ones look as rusty in the fourth preseason game as this one, then be worried.

Exactly. The coaches know what they have in Spiller and Jackson. Gailey wanted to work on the no huddle offense and give Fitzpatrick and the receivers a chance to mesh on certain pass plays. I am not concerned at all about the play selection while the starters were out there.

he didnt really neglect the run last year. so its pretty obvious this no huddle 14 passes was just for practice purposes.

there is no need to get all up in arms about it. We know the bills can run the ball, chan wanted to know how we handle a complicated task week 1 preseason, I think is a good idea.

just relax, i think the offense we saw with thigpen is more the offense the starters will have when the time comes.

Glenn was solid.. stonewalled a few Wa defenders... A few edge rusher got a bit of an edge but he still pushed them aside..

    Nobody beat him

All that needs to be said about the QBs is that they're all flawed and mediocre and shouldn't be taken anywhere in the first round. None of them.

That's something to keep in mind as well. I've heard Glenn was pretty solid in run blocking, but really needed the work on pass blocking. I'm sure that had a bit to do with it as well.

The play calling last night makes me think they had specific plays to run, and could care less about their actual offensive scheme.

That beautiful play-action pass with the clear-out route by Clowney was a hint of the actual offense, in my opinion. Just a little bit of it sprinkled in.

i thought that ron brooks was great all night he had a few pass break up and int our d- line was great at run blocking but i would have thought we would have but more pressure on the qb even without blitzing alot.
