    Default Dave Dameshek Jersey Rankings

Dave Dameshek wrote an article for NFL.com rating all 122 jerseys in the 4 major sports. I haven't looked at all of them but he rated the Buffalo Sabres # 41 saying this

Sabres: Let's just pretend the red-and-black getups they wore from 1996-to-2006 never happened. Long live these beauties.

And he rated the Buffalo Bills # 30 Saying this

Bills: These upgrades were the feel-good uniform story of 2011 ... but regress ever so slightly because of the neck roll effect in 2012.

I think he's pretty dead on on both ratings, though I would put the Sabres a little higher, I love those new jerseys.

Here's the link, hope you guys enjoy

Everyone loves to bash the white collar while forgetting that it actually serves a purpose. According to Nike, the Flywire collar "Eliminates layers, reduces weight, and provides lockdown fit." Our jerseys aren't competing for a playoff spot, we are, and if it gives us an advantage, good.

Doesn't every team have it? Meaning it's not an advantage?

Also, they couldn't have made it blue?

No city upgraded it's uniforms more drastically than Buffalo (from the Sabres slug to the new ones) and from those hideous barf-inducing Bills jerseys to the new ones.

What? Does this mean they could only come in white, I find that real hard to believe.

I don't doubt that at all, I am just baffled by the fact they didnt make it blue - the Redskins had a red collar last week, so it appears they are capable of dyeing this flywire, whomever decided that it would look okay as a different color on any teams uniform should be fired.

As an Edmonton Oilers fan, I think they have the best jerseys of all sports teams (came in at #20). Sabres are really good too.

The Bills jerseys were perfect last year.

Edit: I think he is spot on putting the 49ers at #2 and as highest football team. Their jerseys are flawless.

the Titans actually have the Flywire and it is one color all the way around the neck...i don't understand why we couldn't have done that...

PS....one further thing i would like to add is that I have noticed that the two-tone horse collar actually look worse on a jersey that has a design on the sleeve like the Bills have the stripes...and if you think about it, it makes sense- when the Bills uniform design was originally made in 2011, the disign of the "half-collar" was not a part of the look (meaning they were made with a full collar in mind, or at the very least, a solid color all the way around the neck)...this means that the clash of the new collar is magnified even greater because it clashes with other designs on the uniform.

No not all teams have it. Some teams only added some parts of the new nike tech, while only a handful (Bills inlcuded went for everything) Quite a few teams are not using the flywire. And the Packers didn't change anything, no new materials, new cuts any of it. Yes the Collar could have been all one color, so they could've gone all blue. And it's only the bottom half (the V part) that has to be one color. The top part, the white part can have multiple colors as ours does. Why they didn't make the Blue and red stripes bigger is beyond me.

they had the same collar as Buffalo. The Bills collar is not all white....it has a dark blue line and a red line at the top. They didn't do it blue because they wanted to keep the white, red, blue collar.

Wait until tonight....we will have the same thing as the white collar but it will be blue.

That was my point, they had the same thing, but reverse, white and color, instead of color and white - meaning that if they are capabale of putting color on both different parts why not make it the same... Im saying the redskins should be all red or white, and we should be all white - or all blue

The uniforms like they are - any team that has two different colors in the collar - look like a 2 year old screwed up a color by numbers, and whoever decided that was an okay look is either blind or not all there..
